Growing up in church I heard this story about message all the time that my purpose was to evangelize
But growing up in the Spirit what I have seen is that my purpose is to arm and train those saints who have already been evangelized, and believed - but don't known, what next??

If everyone is a recruiter what sense is that
An army of God 100% noobs?? Huh?!?

Here is a real sword @Blain
Let me help show you how to use it skillfully

My beat guess: I think that is what post is here for =]
Yes that is a fantastic point once we have our salvation what next? We live in a generation of mighty warriors of God he has been creating for himself a children who would truly bear his name who doesn't put up with any bull from man or the enmy like being in a position with him where reality doesn't phase us we are in the world but certaintly not of it.

This has much more meaning to it than people realize to be in the world but not of it. I can't say if I am in the right in all this and I don't enjoy being harsh but that kind of comes with being an empty vessel his word of life resides and takes over and you having surrendered your eveything to him are just along for the ride and it is all about trust in Jesus trust that what you say what you do what you plant is from him

However this activation is new to me so any guidence from a brother who knows the kingdom is welcomed and a gift we can't go into battle being unprepared and untrained no matter where we stand in him it's always good to brush up on what we do have and can do while waiting for what God has to give us

It's funny really I never had any intention to come on here but when I obeyed his calling to speak I swore him laughing cracking his knuckles and saying this is gonna be fun

I can see why someone would change their position on eternal security after spending a lot of time in this place. After being beaten over the head a million times with worthless clichés eventually you'd get tired of it.
Wrong answer cadet!

Although the mechanism was partially CC, it was the illumination of the Holy Spirit, and the understanding of the grave dangers in taking single verses out of context, without employing the whole counsel of God.

Probably MOST importantly. again from the Holy Spirit, is NOT using fleshly human intellect to discern Biblical truths.

With human logic it makes perfect sense that if a person doesn't perform X, or fails to perform Y, someone would lose that which God has given them.

So the cliches are virtually completely manifest on the side that needs to perform, or not perform, with THEIR effort in order to remain a child of God.

absolutey brilliant! This is what I was talking about with the word of life just reading what you said I felt the presence in themmit's like a stram of fire came from your mouth

There is something I have been talking about with God. his favor. I want to know what that really is it's something he keeps bringing up. What the favor of the king is what it declares the truth of it all I don't know it yet but I know this is something you want especially for him like chase after that and earn it kind of thing.

Favor respect the reward of the kingdom these are all earned not given and I think earning his favor is considered an honor but the seeds we plant in the kingdom and what we don't plant decides where we stand in him so it is clear God has given his favor throughout scripture you were not normal at all if he had his hand on you but the key thing that seems to make them qualify for his favor is obedience to his voice

Several in this thread have plainly said if a person doesn't believe in eternal security they aren't saved. Sorry to disappoint you; I'm saved and secure. You'll just have to deal with it.

Think about about what you said for a second. If you confess and don't actually change your mind about it, is your lip service of any value to God? If you actually do change your mind about sin and, of course, change your ways as well, confessing your sin to God, isn't that the heart of what confession is?

There is no difference between confession and repentance. God already knows what you did. What God is looking for is your return to walking in the light like John says. Confession is intended to be used for those who are ready to forsake whatever sin it is they are genuinely repenting of.

1 John 1
7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
lol, and this makes it alright to mock God and true repentance?

The unbeliever's false gospel: "TERMS AND RESTRICTIONS APPLY. . ."
"Perfect in Christ Jesus." — Colossians 1:28
Do you not feel in your own soul that perfection is not in you? Does not every day teach you that? Every tear which trickles from your eye, weeps "imperfection"; every harsh word which proceeds from your lip, mutters "imperfection." You have too frequently had a view of your own heart to dream for a moment of any perfection in yourself. But amidst this sad consciousness of imperfection, here is comfort for you—you are "perfect in Christ Jesus."In God's sight, you are "complete in Him"; even now you are "accepted in the Beloved."

"Complete in Christ." Not till then shall we fully comprehend the heights and depths of the salvation of Jesus. Doth not thy heart leap for joy at the thought of it? Black as thou art, thou shalt be white one day; filthy as thou art, thou shalt be clean. Oh, it is a marvellous salvation this! Christ takes a worm and transforms it into an angel; Christ takes a black and deformed thing and makes it clean and matchless in His glory, peerless in His beauty, and fit to be the companion of seraphs. O my soul, stand and admire this blessed truth of perfection in Christ.

Geesh!

If I thought It'd be that simple I'd have said it long ago!

Just kidding RA. I'm glad you're here. I haven't said, nor do I know, if failing to believe in eternal security means a person isn't saved.

I think some people haven't had the Holy Spirit reveal that truth yet to them, That's why we're here.

The problem is the debate itself.

one part of the debate is calvin vs arminian issue. Many will Never believe in OSAS because their hate of calvin and who they deem his Followers is so deep they would never admit they may be right in even one area against calvanism

The other side of debate is the works issue, On one hand, You have those who believe works is a byproduct of being saved. They are deemed as hating works. and easy believers, because they reject works as a means of salvation

The other hand you have people who believe works are required, or salvation can be lost. they hate what they call easy belisvism so much, they will never listen to what they say, and demand they hate works (a fact that is not true)

then you have those that think a person who is truly born again, Have truly experienced first hand (different than being blessed by association) and fully experienced his chastening. would ever want to give back what they repented and stated they needed to begin with. also denying the omniscience of God who knows if a person has truly repented or not. and knows if in the future they would repent back to the world and reject him..(based on a false repentance to begin with) they will never believe in osas. and usually argue this based on free will. and again an anti calvin response (in my view)

No one can know a persons heart amen..

We can judge a gospel but can not judge a person. I feel many people we thought were saved and had many works we will miss in heaven, and many we thought could never have been saved we will see in heaven..

yeah many here can probably recall many time they have had to deal with these things the truth us escapes when we arent actively searching for us I mean just because you think you have it right doesnt always mean you do

But truth always leads back to Jesus if your belief doesnt lead to Jesus it's best to throw thst away

The Holy Spirit revealed to me OSAS is a lie. Guess you had it right to begin with then got pressured into changing your mind.

Not at all

I have not of late had the opportunity to read every post and to meditate on every post, but @post holds nothing against you

Post posts what post feels must be posted
Without regard to other posters

Which never means post had no regard for other posters

It only means

Post is post; post posts posthaste.

=]

¬ post is truly sorry for any confusion

That's alright, I agree with post, I disagree with post, just like every brother and sister here. I have usually stayed away from since topic since I've been here. Light a match and away we go. It will be one of those topics until the Lord returns. I still choose to believe I am surrounded by brothers and sisters in the Lord and one day we will meet in heaven. May it be so.

Pretty sure it wasn't the HS whispering in your ears
"Hey! Psssst!! If you screw up, or no longer believe in that Messiah fella, you will be kicked out of God's family and tossed into hell!"

Doesn't sound like the HS I know.
