Good morning,

I would like to know your thoughts on this in KY. I have seen a revival and experienced it. I have learned many things as I am sure you all have also about revival what is and what is not.

One of the biggest killers of "Revival" from what I see in church History is when the following HAPPENS :

  1. People trying to recreate what God has done
  2. Making movement out of the Move of God over following God as He moves.
  3. No Accountability, correction, or addressing error when happens
  4. the abandonment of the word of God and replaced by what is believed to be a move of God or an emotional experience.
  5. OvereEmphasis on demons or principalities that must be confronted.
  6. those who come in with hidden agendas or establishing a personality for later moves.
What do you all think?

I thank you all in advance

Revival is supposed to be people getting saved and church members reviving. It's sad how evangelist and pentecostal crowds think it's just praying in tongues loud. I always cringe because the Bible says if there's no interpretation to pray in tongues silently. These supposed men of God make a big show of loud tongues. It's obvious we control the volume if we are commanded to keep quiet. The best true revival gets people dedicated to God and put away the worldly tv and video games. If anything the church could use some sanctification. If someone's not preaching against adultery and filthy living then it's not revival. People need to get right with the Lord. Bible and holy living.

Lots of people's hearts are in the right place and want to do what is right and please and praise Him. We need miracles. The people seeking Him earnestly are doing what they can.

who would have thought roe vs wade would have been overturned by Dobbs vs Jackson a year ago? States now can outlaw abortion in their State, which many are doing. People prayed and marched for an end of roe for 50 years.

Revival does not have to be the growth of the number of people. Revival can also be the growth of spiritual knowledge, and if could, hopes to do both simultaneously.

The only issue I have with what's going on in Asbury is it wasn't a spontaneous outpouring of the Holy Spirit; it was a setup from the beginning. So yeah, number 1 would apply here: people trying to create what they think a spontaneous outpouring should look like.

I hope there will be people who benefit in some way from this counterfeit revival. God can use anything for His glory.

A true revival will not be known for a few months. A true revival brings about change and does not fade away. Sadly many of these so called revivals bring temporary euphoria, and quickly fizzles out.. Only time will tell

hERES WHAT i THINK. tHE CHURCH HAS PRAID FOR AND HAS NEEDED A TRUE REVIVAL FOR A LONG TIME GETTING SOME HERE AND THERE BUT NOTHING TRULY GAME CHANGING IT JUST GOES BACK TO HOW THINGS WERE Oops sorry I didnt realize the caps was on.
but back to what I was saying if you ask you shall recieve if there is a chance this could lead to a true revival wouldnt it be wise to lower our guard a bit and look at it as if it could be the real thing

What makes me thinik it is real is the fact it began with and maintains worship and praise to God that is the key to entering his presence and his deeper waters this is what blasts the doors open as the songs of his children raise him in honor.

This is only the spark to the grand finale

We should not see so many people and want to curse them, as Balak and Balaam did.

The first thing we need to do is to bless these people.

May God use them and turn them into pillars in the temple.

To me it seems like a charismatic movement seeking an experience rather than God’s word. Why are they concentrated on singing songs rather than the preaching of the word of God? True revival stirs and convicts people’s hearts to go out and preach the gospel publicly and privately. Time will tell. But the fact is people are flooding there seeking an experience. That can be a dangerous thing.

2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

If you didnt know this isn't the first time this has happened in asbury it happened in 1970 as well. And again I can't stress enough about worship this if a church suddenly decided to see this revival happen in their church and they just starting with praying for hia revival and just worship him raising him up in praise and they just keep doing that until they reach that breakthrough

If this is the real thing it needs to spread like the corona virus and honestly at the end of the day I have never seen worship bring something bad

Don't forget that you are part of the revival, and everyone, growing in God's Word

If you look at OT revivals, it usually involved destroying pagan temples and idols and returning to true worship of God. It usually happened when some evil ruler was deposed, and a new king took the throne. And the cycle would begin again. They would get so paganized and far from God that God would raise up a new leader who would start out good and then things would go down hill from there
The only NT revival i know of was pentecost, but im not so sure that can be called a revival.
Asbury has had many "revivals" 1905, 1908, 1921, 1950, 1958, 1970, 1992, 2006, and now in 2023.
Which beggs the question. Whats really going?

Oh I intend to be for sure just thirty minutes ago I was worshipping God just wanting to be in that state of worship and the absolute joy that filled me up had me smiling hard and just dancing in my seat it was unatural joy and I already prayed for true revival to spread like fire

He then brought to my mind some of the things I said in my other threads so I need to go back and check it all out it is possible he was telling me about this before it happened and I didn't realize

Wellit could be that the year itself is the key as 23 means death and for those in Christ death equals resurrection not mention if you know the meaning of this hebrew year and do a deep study on it you might not be so surprised this is happening

Of course you are a part of it, because what God says to you is the proof.

The only thing I can say that the Christian faith is mixed up with too many secular ideas, national politics and things like that.
I understand being cautious in giving this thing any credit but you know there are many who live in study of the word who teach and preach doctrine you have people who when they go into a church you rarely ever hear anyone say the holy spirit was in there and we have gone by doctrine teaching prayer and general Christian things for a long time but yet we seemingly have no power or authority we teach and speak of the things of God but to actually have that faith in the impossible we so often preach is nowhere to be found and is actually seen as being to spiritual and not enough in the word.

But people forget his ways are not our ways our system so far is not working the spirit of God is not alive in the body everyone knows it and sees it but God loves to insert himself and shake things up so you know maybe we needed a little out of the box thing

What could be more better than people from all over seeking the Lords face?
Here i am Lord...Samuel said
Send me....Isaiah
And yet there will be some with false pretense that will look for the super natural experience rather than GOD himself.
In order to be filled one must be emptied. Casting ones burdens on to the Lord. God is able but are we ready?
My sheep know my voice...
Seeking the Lords face is not normal for man to do. Its a calling.
All the publicity of this event has left many in questioning is this for real or is it fabricated?
Jesus said..those that are not against us are for us.
We will always have the doubters, the on lookers, skeptical, mockers.
Reguardless of its nature those who have come seeking with a pure heart shall be filled.
Come and see that the Lord is good.
