Satan's working OT. How shall we respond?

Folks, my hope and wish may be unrealistic and foolhardy, but I am hoping this: That my country, the US, will return to its foundations and to the God of the Bible, that it will remain that way until Christ's return, and that if we are not to play a part in last-day prophecy, let it be for the best of reasons... perhaps we are a horn that falls off... maybe we are destroyed by the beast for not complying. It will be his time, and if he can wipe out millions of saints, why not a righteous nation? I'd rather go down as righteous than be honored by the darkest of evil.

We are not a righteous nation. Righteousness exalts a nation. There is never leadership like this in a nation that is pursuing and obeying God.
But we can, as a nation, return to God. And He will hear and forgive and heal if we would but seek Him with all our hearts.

Oh Father, turn our hearts again to Thee.

Uhh... re-read my post. I didn't say we were a righteous nation.

Why doesn't he have a legal case for religious discrimination?

Shoe on the other foot, would he have been at risk if he'd have been gay and denigrated straight marriage?

I was channel surfing last night. Stopped on a show where a firefighter was trying to rescue a woman who refused help. The FF called her crazy and was later reprimanded. Because calling someone crazy is now considered a slur. As is calling someone fat.

And the notorious female insult, the C word, is now classified as a racial slur.
I didn't realize female was a race.

Did you claim he said something he did not? I didn't see you do that. :)
I think I did but he believes I did. An apology can never hurt. My motto: when in doubt, apologize profusely.

To get full citizenship do I need to pour maple syrup on my Canadian bacon and join the Royal Mounties?
The Mounties? Nah. But speaking of maple syrup, the cashier at Safeway thanked me for asking him
how he was, and I responded, "This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it." He
then told me it was Ash Wednesday, and I asked him if he had partaken of pancakes yesterday.
Sadly, he had missed out on all that. I say sadly only on account of him, as he seemed to have
wished to. I myself do not mark these Roman Catholic celebrations with ashes and pancakes :D

The pancakes part still sounds good. Never throw out the pancakes with the ashes.

I have read that he is taking legal action. He may even win, but that will not change anything. It's at least as bad or worse here in Australia.

I think it's becoming very obvious our faith is losing or has lost the respect it once enjoyed in this world.

I watched a preview of a supposed comedian special that's coming up. An arena full of fans and he says, I don't think this world is ever going to be right again.

I kept watching because I could relate to that opinion.
Then he said, and a dead Jew is going to come back and fix it all? Isn't that the definition of mental illness?
The whole place erupted in laughter.
How long ago would such a thing have never even crossed a comedians mind, much less their lips to an audience?

Okay, obviously clarity is in order. When I called the US righteous, that was in the hypothetical and hopeful context of having repented from the darkness we are now embracing. I thought that was clear, but if it was not, there you go.

Ok. But my offer of a thousand pardons still stands.
