The Race Of Faith

There was this boy who was determined to ride his back without training wheels. So he woke up early one morning, threw on his favorite outfit, and walked past the helmet because he felt invincible. His father was waiting in the driveway with his bike and without the training wheels. His father calls him over to get started. The boy ran towards him in excitement. Hops on the bike, and father jogs along beside him. The father then tells the boy he is about to let go.

In anticipation, the son tightens his grip, leans in, and peddles faster. The father lets go, and within a few seconds, the boy falls over and scrapes his knee.

Despite the pain, this same process was repeated over and over with little progression each time. But the son was dedicated, and the father was filled with joy. Over time the father could step away, and eventually, the son could start independently.

The boy would get into racing, building ramps, and daredevil stunts. The father would watch, occasionally stepping in to help secure a ramp, fix the bike, or offer advice. The son would face many moments where he wrecked that bike and was hurt too many times to count.

But his love was for all that the bike stood for. An adventure, excitement, pain, joy, and fulfillment. No matter the pain, the boy would climb back on, time and time again, knowing the success was worth the pain. The victory is worth the loss of blood and skin. Making his father proud was worth all the trials.

Faith is like this boy and the bike. Despite the pain, failures, and losses, the child of faith will keep climbing back on top of that bike. Perseverance is the true test of genuine faith.

James 1:12 ESV
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

The father called the boy, and the boy responded in excitement. The Father calls us all to respond to His calling of salvation and reception through the blood of Jesus Christ. It will feel amazing at first until we fall the first time. But He is there to pick you up, and over time He gives you room to mature. We may try to do things our way until we crash, but in faith, we turn back to the one who can repair, secure, and guide us in the direction we should go.

Like the boy's perseverance, we must persevere in faith until we receive the Crown of Life. When the race is over, despite the scars, blood, sweat, and tears, it will all be forgotten as we embrace victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Join the race; your crown is waiting.

Too many errors so here is the correct version.

So he woke up early one morning, threw on his favorite outfit, and walked past the helmet because he felt invincible.
Well to me This sentence is not about Faith this is just about Pride thinking he is invincible to me is displaying self righteousness -------and walking past his Helmet which is worn for safety is not from God's faith in my view ----God's faith requires a positive responsive and wearing a helmet for safety in this world would be a positive response to what could become a head injury as a result of a bad fall to the head from his bike ------

So for me the father failed in protecting his son from a disaster by allowing the boy to go past the helmet --God gives us a suit of armour to wear for battle ---and our True faith will want to rear the protective armour -----to ensure victory ------

That is just my view on this story ------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

James 1:12 ESV
Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
I say
So how do you remain steadfast under trials ---first --you need to be grounded and rooted in your Faith and Agape in God -----if you have wavering Faith or Little faith in Jesus then Satan can knock you off remaining steadfast under your trial -------

Colossians 2:7 NLT

7 Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.

I say
So it is not a simple thing to remain steadfast under trials unless your Grounded and Rooted in your Faith and Agape in Jesus The Christ ---and that takes us being constantly in the Word as Strong Faith Comes from hearing and being in the Word ------

If we use the story then technically the boy wasn't a Christian until he was called and responded. The helmet was of the boy's thinking before the journey of faith.

But glad it inspired your own thoughts.

but the idea is children don’t know yet they dont think it through because they don’t have the information and experience they aren’t mature

The father already loves them securely before they even know what a bike is or that it’s meant to be ridden

“So for me the father failed in protecting his son from a disaster by allowing the boy to go past the helmet --God gives us a suit of armour to wear for battle ---and our True faith will want to rear the protective armour”

Is this Gods failure or mans ? This is how God protects mankind in all things

This is a father protecting his child from harm

“And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:15-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

they are now safe from the potential harm God has given them the world and earned them of danger he’s done his part because they are free

Then Satan tells them it’s not true they won’t die and they did exactly what God said would bring them death if they did it

The father doesn’t control us as puppets and force us to hesr and heed his word that keeps us safe he just tells us and says if you believe me your going to live and if you refuse to believe me your going to die

It isn’t a gauntlet he’s set before us but an offer of a gift if we believe that faith will lead us the right way and we’ll be riding wheelies in due time of we refuse to believe the gospel we’re never going to get the hang of balance

we’re free to choose to suit up with armor and the gear of war once we know what that even means , but God has already done everything needed to save our souls and give us everlasting life , we have to recognize and choose his offer in belief

Thank you beautiful story. Faith we are saved by faith through grace, we have to walk by faith, we must live by faith and with out faith we can never please Him. Faith is I like how the AMP says it "Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]. ".

Its like Christ said what ever you desire when you pray believe you receive it. That is faith you can't see it feel it yet you know that you know that you know you already have it. Believe you receive it you shall have it. NT if we know He hears us then we know we have the petitions/prayers we asked for. His will is His word. Don't you use His word all the time when things happen? Sad.. no I have the joy of the lord, or fear no God has not given me the spirit of fear but of power love and a sound mind. Just those two... I never have to wait He already gave it to me. I cannot see it hear it at first can not feel it but I always receive it.

Then to know faith can work both ways. OH the classic and heard it all my life by some around me "Oh I get sick ever time this year". "I just know this or that WILL happen if I" <---you witness faith at work and say.. no no stay away from me lol... I don't want that. Or the Doctor that is cutting this very hard lump out of your chest (me) telling you about what it could be and 1-1000 get this awful thing that happens and "YOU could be that one". Yeah Doctor said that to me. Me...no it will not I do not receive that in Jesus name. To many times we hear something from the enemy a lie and we say "yes yes that could happen to me". So maybe find what the word of God says and not hope not roll the dice but KNOW if your FATHER the great I am said it...KNOW He will always do it! Just blindly believe. Tell your mind to hush and I receive in Jesus name. His word is His will. Its not what I say here...you find this for your self.

Anyway nice story thank you

I personally believe there is no power in the Word of Faith to cause things that were not already allowed or by the will of God. So the doctor can say what he wants, negativity Nancy can say what she wants but that doesn't supernaturally cause the bad to manifest. She could die of stress but not necessarily due to the poor choice in faith.
