Not true. Adam had a "normal human nature" before AND after he tossed God under the bus, but he DID DIE SPIRITUALLY in the same way we all do the first time we SIN.

True statement. we ARE PERFECT in Him.

Only if you're a Calvinist, and think that the GRACE of god is "IRRESISTABLE".
you do not need to be a calvinist or think grace is irresistable to believe number three is true

1. When Adam sinned, his mind, heart, and will were corrupted.

2. Jesus has met every requirement of God for those who are saved.

3. All that are given to Jesus by the Father will come to Him and receive eternal life.

I know how tempting it is to add explanations. Please refrain. I understand that apart from being able to give an explanation some may not want to participate. Perfectly understandable.

My answers are:
1. True
2. True
3. True

I appreciate your posts and your grace and humor. That said I cannot answer the questions because you have put parameters that only give the answer you agree with. That's my answer. Blessings.

This thread isn't about Calvin. And I never intended to cause any friction or division among the body of Christ.
I was trying to see if there weren't areas of agreement that could be built upon. But it seems that even amongst Christians there exists a desire to be right rather than to love.
Most of the problems in the world could be solved if people would radically love their neighbors the way God has radically loved us.
I realize in the world we live in this would open us up to ridicule and likely our motives would be questioned. But if not love, then what? If not now, then when? If not us, then who?
You had good intentions but division is good when it comes to truth. Martin Luther never intended his 95 questions to divide the church. But it had to be done.

We can agree on much but in some areas the doctrines of some can be harmful to those who believe them.

Debate is good. Jesus and Paul can be seen as debating.

Love and truth are inseparable. If you love but tolerate what is unbiblical then we are no better than the unbelievers who can love.

God is love but He is also just, wise, all knowing, logical, and speaks the truth.

It was indeed the Jewish culture to debate. They even have a whole book called the Talmud which is a book of arguments, it contains thousands upon thousands of differing commentaries on the Torah and how its commandments should be carried out. Throughout history, rabbis have added to the Talmud, even rehashing the value and interpretation of earlier discussions, and reevaluating them in a modern context. “Jesus and Paul can be seen as debating.”

One is the lord the other is one of his witnesses and servants

“Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God,”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭

paul Never debated anything Jesus said he witnessed that it’s all true and open to the whole world

Some may fear that honesty will divide us, but I think that it is the glue that holds us together. (y):coffee:

Your objection is duly noted and I appreciate your response, but there is a choice option that doesn't agree with me.

Christians in many ways the most unlikely of acquaintances. We generally haven't met through work, or living arrangement, or common interest. We met at the cross. And apart from that we would never have come together.
So it is natural that we would be diverse in so many ways. And yet the bond that ties us all together is Christ. And that should allow us to set aside our differences that He is magnified.

“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Adam was told your free but this fruit is poison don’t eat it or you’ll die for sure , Satan said “ that’s not true ot will make you wise “

This inherantly offers Adam a choice believe what God said or “believe what the other guy said that is contrary “

Adam made the wrong choice he should have chose Gods word and lived

“I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:”
‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭30:19‬ ‭

israel chose wrong they should have chosen Gods word and lived

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

if we hear tbat like “ I’m either going to believe it or I’m not I have no choice “ that’s what’s actually stopping us from making the choice , we’re convinced we can’t choose

That’s our choice we can choose to believe the gospel and get baptized for remission like the gospel Teaches of we choose to do that Jesus has said “ you shall be saved “ he also said if you don’t believe me your going to be damned

at his was sent to all the world to offer then a choice to change the end of thier cirrent oath and the destination they are guided to

Does one of them give you indigestion?
At this point I actually regret having done the thread. I was looking to find common ground to build relationships, not cause dissension. Had I known it would become more about my motivation than God's glory, I never would have posted.

Probably a good time to post the Words of Jesus Himself. And then maybe some of the NO number 3 guys will change their vote.

John 6:37
New King James Version

37" All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out."

So how is it possible for a Christian to vote no?

I have no problem with debate. I do believe it is important and healthy. I just see a lot of people truthing their neighbors.
