Longings to See You

As your saints may I be pure with no blot

To see you clearly to take in your beauty

And know your loving heart



I see you in nature

I know you in mind and spirit

I see your joy and love overflow from your children



But is there more?

There is always more with you infinite God

Even on Earth, there is always more



At your desire you can enfold with your embrace of love

You can cause my spiritual eye to glimpse the heaven above

You can enrapture me and give me joy below



As I busy myself,

How can mere things of Earth blind my eye

To You my master, maker, most sublime?

Seems to capture a lot of your approach in poetry. Exploration of the infinite riches of God, seen only dimly through the mirror in this life, but patiently staying for more glimpses to the mystery.
