My poem is about how God Almighty changes our hearts from within. I hope you enjoy reading it!



Inside Out Universe


Here come the clouds at night
Going to places I have never been
There is a revelation in sight
Feeling time and space I have never seen

The world within meets the world without
Trees and forests explode in a shout
The Earth's waters are singing all about
As the sky grows dim and begins to doubt

Inside out Universe
The world at my door
The sky is my ceiling
The Earth is my floor
Trying to capture the temporary evermore
Inside out Universe
To seek what's in store

The world is crying out in sin and pain
The ground is dry and pleads for rain
All under the sun is ever the same
People play for keeps yet call it a game

The darkness grows and fights for wrongs
New light will come and awaken the weeds
The rains they pout and yearn for songs
They bring the flowers that every heart needs

Inside out Universe
The world at my door
The sky is my mirror
The Earth is my floor
Trying to wash upon eternal shores
Inside out Universe
To give and to take and to never keep score

I drift far away from the world that I love
Towards the outer reach of time unrehearsed
To a place that I know and where light gives me shade
Where Love has its purpose and speaks in rhyme and verse

Closing the door that I once held ajar
Dreaming I will visit from near and from far
I drift to a new day while I greet the stars
While the Moon faces battles as nighttime will spar

I hope for the people I see who die within
While crying for love and facing the din
Hope springs eternal and Truth will come yet
No one has lost who trusts God for the win

Inside out Universe
The world at my door

While yawning in silence I now go to bed
Dreaming of Love and the things that I said
Foreknowing the hope and the day that's to come
Knowing the price that was paid and the sum

Inside out Universe sleep will unfold
Dreams will awake as nighttime grows bold
Inside out Universe the Son will return
Hope will grow higher and faith will be sure

God Almighty Jesus awakens our hearts
The darkness now flees and light dawns within
Where fear has just ended and courage begins
Death is no more as His Love and His Life conquer all


Inside out Universe from loss now to gain
Nightmares will end and hope will flow free
Inside out Universe joy and holiness are so pure
God creates anew the hearts of both you and me
Turning them inside out from within
He is our joy and our love has begun and will last forevermore

Thanks so much; I'm glad you like it. I get inspired when I write. My poems are usually meant to go with the music (As lyrics) and become songs. But this 1 is meant to just be poetry only. 🙂

I have given some thoughts that I could write music. I am a bit lazy and also uncertain I have any creativity to write music or pair the lyrics with the music. I will try eventually. I play the organ, piano and am trying to learn the violin. Hymns really have a good effect on me. Gives me a medium to worship and keep my mind on Him. The more the better.

Thanks so much, Ebdesroches. I love music, and it's something that blesses us and can glorify God in a huge way. And it can bring people together. It can unify us. As I like to say, it's hard for people to fight and argue and throw tomatoes at each other when we're singing and dancing for God's glory! 😀

Keep working on trying to create songs. Remember, even if you just get started now, it's something God can choose to bless you with for always, and you might even find it's something you'll carry onward when you go to be with God Almighty! It could be a part of what He calls you to do even forever! Thanks for your encouragement. I love your lyrics and poems, and you do it for God's glory and because you love Him and people, and that's the best way to share your love of songs and be creative. For His glory!

This is very good. Many good ideas. Some enjoyably unexpected expressions that work well.

While my musical skills aren't anywhere near the level where I could easily turn my poems into songs (at least not yet, and quite possibly never), I also find that music is a great source for ideas for poetry. Often if I'm impressed by some piece of music, it will begin some kind of stream of thought that will eventually have the elements of a poem. Usually the end result isn't very much like the piece of music that started the process, but I think that's only a good thing (wouldn't want to plagiarize anyway).

Had to read it again! Was worth it, maybe a few more times, there is a lot in it
