The Bible does declare there is only one God the Father yes. Not only in John 17:3 but elsewhere such as 1 Cor 8:6.

But keep in mind, the Bible also calls Jesus "God" in Hebrews 1:8 and Isaiah 9:6.

So what do you do now? Are there two gods? But I thought the Shema which Jesus agreed with in Mark 12:29 says there is only one God?

Jesus had two natures, both fully God and fully human.

Being a man He prayed to His Father it does not mean He stopped being God.

"I and the Father are one.”
John 10:30

Perfect, well said! People seem to struggle with something so simple.

You know just reading anything that denies the divinity of Jesus makes me feel very uneasy.

To so boldly proclaim something so false, well, may God have mercy on them.

C'mon! You KNOW otherwise! The Bible does NOT contradict itself; and Jesus' words are so SIMPLE!

Do you really expect people to SWALLOW that? He said the SAME THING about his followers.

Which part is hard to swallow.

Be clear, when Christ Jesus walked this earth was He both God and man?

God incarnate.
