Thoughtful observations! Satan's most appealing lie is that we don't need God. We can decide for ourselves what is right and wrong and live life our way.
And, instead of listening to God, we chose a life of experimentation, learning some painful lessons for all of these centuries (in my opinion, we have made it very clear historically that we cannot live without God; therefore, please return ASAP Lord and establish Your Kingdom here on earth!
).
The wisdom we chose from that tree can be summed up as pride (arrogance & obstinance)--leave us alone God and let us live as we best see fit. That philosophy hasn't worked for Satan, and it hasn't and isn't working well for us as a race either.
What's crazy about all of this is why would we want to cut ties with the loving God who created us? He is our source of life, and it shows our fallen state that we have little desire as humanity on the whole to have a relationship with Him despite how miserable we have made things here on this beautiful planet apart from God's leadership and guidance.
Thank you Lord for redeeming us. We are lost and dead without You!

and if we examine it God already told mankind what would happen if they went the other way but they did it anyways
thats where the deception of the mind came in it changed what God said “ don’t eat the fruit you will certainly die “ over to “ you won’t die , it will make you wise and God knows that “
false doctrine is the only way for Satan to get to someone who’s heard what God said
