As I sit here in your holy word. I read your words of how you came forth to your deciples on top of the water. At first they feared, thinking you to be a ghost or spirit. They came to realize it was you they placed their eyes upon.
Peter calling out to you, for he wanted to walk to you. He went so far, walking towards you. He grew closer, step by step. You had led him as he desired you. Closer and closer. And then in the mits of his walk, he took his eyes off of you. He fell. For he could not swim.....he started drowning.
Then you, reaching out and grabbing him. You pulled him to his feet, embracing him. For in that moment he knew it was only you that could save him. Not the lands, not the others, but you....only you.
Lord this is a perfect reflection on who you are. There are times we fall. There are times we yell for you. There are times when we sink unable to surface. So we yell to you "LORD HELP" because it is you that can only save us. Not one person,not one material, only you. We sink.... looking up with our arms stretched out.... praying, watching. For we know you are just, for we you are truth, for we know that you are more then our tiny minds can even comprehend. Then like a flash of lightning your hand appears. Grabbing us, embracing us. Putting us in your loving arms.
Lord for I have taken my eyes off of you. Lord I have fallen. Lord I am calling out to you. Lord looking up from under this water of sin. Praying to see your hand. Praying to be embraced by your love. Please hear me, please see me, please forgive me. Lead me, so I may follow. I love you lord.
For the water over my head yet under your feet holds a greater value. Yet if you are willing......I am willing.
