It's no secret that Christianity is on a fast decline in the rich nations of the world. But that doesn't mean that Christianity is on the decline. There are two Christian hot spots in the world where Christianity is growing leaps and bounds.

Where is Christianity growing fastest in the world today? Why that would be China and Africa.

China: Over the past four decades, Christianity has grown faster in China than anywhere else in the world. The Boston University School of Theology research assistant professor of mission, estimates that the Christian community there has grown from 1 million to 100 million.

Africa: More Christians live in Africa now, than any other continent in the world. According to updated data for 2021, there are now nearly 685 million Christians in Africa, with 760 million expected by 2025. [14] This surpasses earlier estimates of 630 million to 700 million for 2025: "By 2025, that number is expected to nearly double, to somewhere between 630 and 700 million believers."

I'm glad to know more people in China are getting saved! God is so good! I'm going to keep praying for all of Asia mainly because, overall, they're too steeped in tradition which is why a lot of nations in that continent aren't Christian nations. Like Japan for example only has 1% of the population that are Christian!

Please join me in praying for Asia regularly if God leads you to!

Over the last 20 years there has also been a sharp revival in 'Orthodox Christianity' in Russia. When I was a young lad, Russia was a communist and officially atheistic country. It was illegal to be Christian, you could be sent to the gulags for insanity. Now, Christianity is the 'norm' in Russia:

Christianity in Russia is the most widely professed religion in the country. The largest tradition is the Russian Orthodox Church.

Partially in the west you have wealth giving people what they want instead of prayers, but also you have long term enemies of christianity- such as perverts- organized and using the media to corrupt the public. Thankfully in Africa they don't have that problem.

Some parts of China are really rich others are poor. I wouldnt assume christianity is in decline in so called rich countries.

When I studied world missions people always talked about the 20/40 window.

Its been known for quite some time that China and Africa have been open to receiving the gospel and churches are growing, in fact so much they are the ones sending missionaries and evangelists to other parts of the globe. Gospel for Asia has always been active in India but using native and local missionaries who can speak the language instesd of western missionaries giving up their comfort zones to fund a mission compound where they live in luxury while their host country pays for all their infrastructure

I will say this

when they make these assessments they take only the recognised denominations into account. Catholic/Epicopalian even Evangelicals etc.

But Pentecostal and Charismatic churches are PACKED, young and old together.

... ' course we don't like mega church do we

Here I'm on the same page as you. Islam IS a big risk out there. The issue is our secular society cant treat it as a foe. We have to figure out how to get people to leave the religion. It's not something you can solve militarily- it's an ideological problem.

The kingdom of the devil is by mockery, humiliation, force and torture. It's how its citizens enter it and how they are kept from leaving it. The kingdom of God is by woeing and persuasion. It's how citizens of it enter there and how they are kept from leaving. If someone is trying to get you to follow a religious path by humiliating you or using forceful words, more than likely they are not leading you to the kingdom of God despite whatever they may think. Jesus said if I be lifted up I will draw all men into me. He loves us first that we may fall in love with him. Living a genuine christian life and helping others to learn about Jesus are ways to lift up Jesus so the world can see him.
