What is most important in life?
People search for life’s meaning in many ways. Wealth. Power. Status. Possessions. As alluring as these may be, people who achieve them are seldom satisfied. Often it’s not until our later years that we fully grasp the extraordinary value of our relationships.

I am grateful to have been able to achieve much in life. Many would view me as “successful.” Yet my greatest treasures by far are my relationships — with my wonderful wife, Wendy, and our children, grandchildren and close friends — and with the Lord Jesus — a bond that is absolutely unique!

Even when we are denied the intimate relationships of marriage, family and friends, there is One who always will be, without fail, our friend. Recall His pledge: “I will never leave you or forsake you.”

By the time Billy Graham (mentioned on Day 5) was in his 90s, he had lost his wife, Ruth, and many close acquaintances through death. But he always had a friend in Jesus. He stated, “It is the greatest discovery you will ever make: You were created to know God and be His friend forever. This is a staggering truth. Think of it. The infinite, all-powerful holy God of the universe wants to be your friend. He wants you to know Him personally.”

Take a moment now to embrace this profound reality, for in it you touch the very meaning of life: You were created to be God’s friend.

Have a blessed day

Your question brought this to mind not sure if it’s relevant to you but as to the meaning or purpose of life in this world and it’s most important point this seems to fit somewhere in there

“and hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation; that they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us: for in him we live, and move, and have our being;

( it seems our purpose here in this world in the very time and place we find ourselves , might be to seek and find the lord)

as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent: because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭17:26-31‬ ‭

It seems like God is trying to save us and this life is about finding Jesus the lord truthfully in one’s heart and mind where we start to learn things like this

“And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭23:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭11:26‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;

but he that believeth not shall be damned.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭16:15-16‬ ‭KJV‬‬

believers of the gospel in the Bible would all agree on things Jesus taught this would bring thier faith and hearts and minds together in one doctrine which obviously is the gospel Jesus preached lived and then sent out to all people of the world and declared “whoever believes the gospel and is baptized shall be saved “

“There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; that at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: but now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; and that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: and came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; and are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; in whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: in whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:11-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Instead we have created several messages and try to make what we each say the “real truth “ or the “ right interpretation “ but if we were to all hear and believe the things Jesus sent into the world for us to hear and believe and be saved by we would start to see more of this design which jesus prayed for before his death

“Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

if more Christian’s were believers of the things Jesus said for us to believe we would all begin to realize and believe the same things that are written in the four accounts of the gospel

We can all find the exact same Jesus in the same scriptures

Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

Of course I am
My mentor mailed me the article and I shared it on here
Did he include a source? You should, even if he did not. Is it from Billy Graham's ministry? .:)

To tell you the truth..if i were asked this 30 yrs ago we'd need sensorship on my reply.

But GOD...(how profound)...changed all that.

Just to hear the words ..well done good and faithful servant..is the most important thing to me.
My family and there relationship with the Lord is priority to my heart now. Not only my wife and children but also the saints. I may not get it right all the time but Lord knows iam trying😄🤔😑🤗🤗🤗

@Magenta I'm really sorry about this, my dear sister, but doesn't this seem a bit harsh?

Please correct me of I'm wrong.

Yours Respectfully,

Douglas
Do you see the indifferent reaction Alice put on my informing her that she should give references?

Why would she not care that she is breaking the site rules to post material not her own, and not give references?

If she was before now unaware, she has been informed. I do not see passing along such information as "being harsh."

Especially since she could lose her membership here by repeatedly breaking the rules.
