Everything is overwhelming me. My faith is shaken. I dont feel the hedge of protection that, I felt so confident that it will always be there.

I went through something recently in which I found myself saying that nothing is off God's table. I know one Christian man who is in a horrible marriage and feels trapped in it. He's been praying for years about this and nothing has resolved it yet.

I do not know how to counsel you other than to say, hang on anyway. There is no one else to whom we could go.

When I was going through my gunk, and it felt like God was punishing me and completely unmoved by my prayers, I remembered one thing: I have no other options. The road sucks right now, but... I realized I was actually on a very narrow bridge suspended over molten lava, and turning to the left or to the right would be far, far worse than enduring the current roughness of the road.

Stay on course. Don't give up.

These days are going to become increasingly trying.

This is the tool the LORD is using in our lives to refine us in the fire.

Keep your eyes on Him the Author and the Finisher of your faith.

As difficult as this time is for you, there are similar instances in scripture that offer excellent comfort and instruction for you. Psalm 73, Habakkuk, and Job all deal with times in life when circumstances change drastically and God no longer conforms to our ideas concerning Him.
This is such a time for you.

I could outline the major points of the scripture listed above if you think it would prove helpful. I didn't because I believe there is great value in searching out these matters for oneself. But I will offer some things to consider to give some perspective.

1. God is still much with you. You have nothing to fear.
2. It is God's desire for you to know Him both more intimately and as He actually is.
3. This isn't some form of punishment, but it is necessary because we cannot know God more intimately or accurately any other way.

I'll keep you in my prayers.

In the NT there is no hedge of protection. However there is Gods armour. Pray God will equip you

r u a born again Christian? when a Christian, the devil has no power against you unless you let him. he's attacking you. i think his temptations are more numerous & more powerful these days because he sees the world getting more sinful + he knows his time is short. cast him out of your life in the name of Jesus. as soon as you notice yourself becoming untrusting, bring that thought to the front of your mind, speak it out verbally & command the situation to healing.

Hi. Life can be challenging like this at times but keep your hold on God and he will pull you through. Some of the fruits of the spirit are peace, longsuffering and self control. Try pray earnestly for God to let the holy spirit into your life so that you can claim these added promises in your life to guide you safely through these situations. That is the winning point for such difficulties.

Remember as well that faith is unseen. If it was seen it would no longer be faith. God can sometimes bring about a situation like this to strengthen our faith in him. It's not always what you see and feel that reveals the truth about a situation. God has given abundant and continual promises to us that he loves us and will be with us always. Whether you feel his presence or not is not what matters. Knowing that he is always with no matter how you feel or what situations may seem like is what does. The promises he has given us can not change and are true. We know this because the one that has given them can not lie. Read his promises and trusting all and every situation. And pray most for his spirit and for wisdom to help you through these and other situations like them.

Remember also the story of Elisha and Gehazi his servant in 2 Kings 6. The army of the king of Syria had surrounded Elisha and Gehazi. Imagine what must have been going through Gehazis mind. He did not think or feel that God was protecting them. Elisha prayed to God that he would open Gehazis eyes. Gehazi then saw that the hills surrounding them were filled with chariots of fire of the lord's armies. Gehazi thought they were alone and but at that very moment there were hills and hills full of chariots with angels sent to fight for and protect them. If God opened your eyes you would see that he is indeed overwhelmingly protecting you, and much much more so than you would have thought. The one who fights for us is mightier than angel's and he has never lost a battle.
