Thats false, you teaching your imagination. God rules all Ps 103:19

The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.
Surely you don’t think God is ruling this world of darkness. This world is in chaos. This world is out of control.

2 Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Ephesians 6
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

I'm surprised you don't believe God can purpose something and guarantee it's success.
I do believe God can purpose something and bring it to pass.

Do you believe in security for the believer?
Yes. People who choose to believe the gospel shall be saved.

Either God can or He cannot bring to pass all He purposes.
God desires all to be saved. If He purposed it, it would be so.
God made it available for all to be saved. Anyone can choose to believe the gospel. God does not force or cause people to believe the gospel.

God purposed the flood.
He did that AFTER humanity had been corrupted by the nephilim.

And then He purposed no more floods to that degree.
Yes.

Are you in the least worried that the world will again be destroyed by a flood?
No.

God doesn't change His mind. He works within the choices He has ordained.
God does change His mind when circumstances warrant it.

There are those who believe Satan is still in Heaven.

1 John 5:19 “the whole world is under the control of the evil one”

Matthew 4:8-9

Remember 1 Kings 22 .

Which means Satan,"Adversary", is lord of this world in God's presence . And being Satan can do nothing without God's permission that's a bold belief.

There is no scope of things spiritual that are beyond the gospel.
 seriously rogerg??? of course there are spiritual matters discussed in Scripture which go beyond the scope of Jesus Christ and Him crucified and resurrected from the dead on the third day (the gospel).

1 Cor 2:6-16 is an example. That you conflate the gospel with the mystery, the hidden wisdom is an example of you needing to feed on the milk of the Word in order that you may understand what is the mystery.

rogerg said:
The gospel is Christ, and it is fully complete within itself, period.
The gospel being "fully complete within itself, period" does not negate the fact that there are other spiritual matters which are revealed in Scripture. You can deny all you want, but you are in error on this point.

rogerg said:
Those who need milk have not yet understood or found that basic principle reflected within the Bible.
I will stick with what Scripture reveals concerning the milk of the Word ... which is that the milk of the Word is suitable for those who are newly born again as well as the believer who may have been born again for awhile, but has not yet matured to the level of being able to digest strong meat. You and brightfame52 continuing to reject the truth concerning the milk of the Word vs strong meat indicates that both of you are still need of milk so that you may grow thereby.

1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby

iow, rogerg ... grow up if you want to discuss the strong meat.

rogerg said:
Those to whom strong meat belongs have exercised their senses to be able to find the gospel- grace through Christ verses works - echoed throughout the Bible.
your re-wording of Scripture is duly noted:

Hebrews 5:

11 Of whom [the Lord Jesus Christ] we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye are dull of hearing.

12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

13 For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.

14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

I have explained to you that the gospel is not the same as the mystery, the hidden wisdom and you reject. You are dull of hearing as shown above in Heb 5:11.

"Those to whom strong meat belongs have exercised their senses" ... to discern both good and evil (not as you claim "to be able to find the gospel- grace through Christ verses works - echoed throughout the Bible").

READ YOUR BIBLE!!! ... and quit making stuff up!

rogerg said:
The Bible was written solely for and about Christ, but not everyone who has been saved are immediately able to find Christ in it, and until they grow in it, except for certain obvious exceptions, tend to perceive it as predominately historical.
In agreement that the Lord Jesus Christ is the sole focus and Subject of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation.

Not in agreement that newly born again ones "tend to perceive it as predominately historical".

Read the below verses, especially 2Tim 16 - 17. Observe the "perfect, thoroughly furnished" part of 2:17.

2Ti 3:15-17 KJV]
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
[2Ti 3:17 KJV] 17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
the word "perfect" in vs 17 is translated from the Greek word artios which means perfect, complete, fitted, ready.

the words "throughly [please note, the word is not "thoroughly"] furnished" are translated from the Greek word exartízō (from ek and artizō ) which means properly, fitted (because fully suitable) because all the parts work together. 1822/eksartízō ("entirely outfitted") is used in the passive voice in 2 Tim 3:17, stressing the end-impact of Scripture on the receptive believer - HELPS Word-studies (bold mine).

the doctrine, reproof, correction, instruction in righteousness contained in Scripture completely equips the believer for the good works God has created us to do in order that the believer may ... let's continue reading in 2 Tim 4 to find out the good works for which Scripture equips us:

2 Timothy 4:1-2 I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

We are fully equipped in order that we may preach the word ... be instant in season, out of season (basically, be ready at all times) ... reprove ... rebuke ... exhort.

Provide examples of the "deeper spiritual matters" not of the gospel of which you speak.
we have already gone over the verses, rogerg. You rejected the truth then just as you reject the truth now.

see Post 544 and Post 545 for starters.

quit conflating the gospel with the mystery, the hidden wisdom ... realize that the gospel is the gospel and the mystery, the hidden wisdom is the mystery, the hidden wisdom. Until you quit closing your eyes to this truth, I will not engage in an exercise in frustration in trying to convince you of the truth of Scripture which you continue to reject.

rogerg said:
read the verses, brightfame52. They tell us that if satan and his minions had known the mystery, even the hidden wisdom they would not have crucified the Lord Jesus Christ.

You have agreed that it is satan who has hidden the gospel as revealed in 2 Cor 4:4 ... so satan has known the gospel in order to hide it from mankind. However, if the gospel is the same as the mystery, the hidden wisdom, you've now got satan privy to information God tells us He kept hid (Rom 16:25; Eph 3:5; Eph 3:9; Col 1:26). You must have a very low opinion of God if satan can ferret out information God tells us He kept hid until He revealed it to Paul.

God tells us that if satan and his minions had known the mystery, the hidden wisdom, satan and his minions would never have crucified the Lord Jesus Christ. If the gospel = the mystery, the hidden wisdom, then your Bible falls apart at 1 Cor 2:8 because God tells us that satan would not have crucified Jesus if he had known. Clearly the mystery, the hidden wisdom is not the same as the gospel ... and you can continue to conflate the two and end up not understanding either the mystery, the hidden wisdom or the gospel.
No, wrong again as usual. They are the same. It was kept hidden from "his minions" until Christ's offering was completed on the cross after which, they could no longer hinder nor stop it, and it became visible to them. It was hidden only from the
"princes of this world". The princes of this world are they of satan.
It was NOT first revealed to Paul. There were many before Paul to whom it had been revealed by God.
your dogma completely contradicts what is written in Scripture:

Romans 16:25-26 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, But
now is made manifest, ...

Ephesians 3:4-5 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ) Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men ...

Ephesians 3:9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God ...

Colossians 1:26 Even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but
now
is made manifest ...

Those are the words of Scripture ... written by Paul. God revealed the mystery, the hidden wisdom to Paul and Paul wrote about it in those verses.

You don't need handle me with kid gloves whatever you think that might entail - and I haven't been at all impressed with your intellect nor knowledge of the Bible that your opinion should matter to me.
To muzzle God's grace is to place barriers and requirements to obtaining it, rather than of it being fully and completely a gift from God. It is you who pervert grace believing that the following of law and works will bring it. You would love your justification to be by the works of law, but it is quite clear the Bible states that will not/cannot happen.
I absolutely never, ever, ever, EVER said God’s grace is received by following the law. You have absolutely no idea who you’re talking to or what you’re talking about. Get your facts together because no one has ever been so patently wrong when referring to me. I’m not surprised.

Major cop out - just as I expected. Guess the mystery turns out to be: what the mystery is. Oh, that's right, you can't answer that.

I can answer ... and I have answered ... you reject ... then claim "major cop out" and/or that I "can't answer that".

The "major cop out" is the one who rejects the truth of Scripture ... conflates the gospel with the mystery, the hidden wisdom ... manipulates Scripture by changing active verbs to passive (remember that fiasco? ... it was just a couple days ago) or changes what is written in Scripture like you did here:

Those to whom strong meat belongs have exercised their senses to be able to find the gospel- grace through Christ verses works - echoed throughout the Bible.

when the verse clearly states that strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil - Heb 5:14.

1 Cor 2:14 is about the Gospel, so is 2:7 and the natural man cannot understand it, not in a spiritual sense, because it must be spiritually discerned.

The Gospel can be understood by people and on the basis that they can understand it they can also reject it.
No people are not regenerated first in order to understand.
