Thank God for that had me worried for a minute.

So what ya sayin is the lord can take away but not forever
I think Job is saying that God gave him everything he had in the first place. He is grateful for all God has given
him and having it all taken away is not cause for him to despair or stop believing in God and worshipping Him
and giving Him praise for Who He is. The second panel attests to the fact that even when Job dies, he knows he
will live and be in the flesh to see God - that life itself comes from God, and there is more to life than this one.

I'm hearing a lot of nonsense about praise and worship with no scriptural support whatsoever. I'd like to see just one New Testament scripture that says anything about praise and worship being some kind of magical protection that sends demons running. Surely if there is any truth to this there would be at least one passage of scripture.
“... every scribe who has been discipled in the kingdom of heaven is like a homeowner who brings out of his storeroom new treasures as well as old.”

Idk about "magical protection", but...

Think of it as pre-emptive warfare; there are battles he fights for us- whereas, he if we don't worship him; they are battles we will lose.

Non-Worship of God invites insurmountable spiritual warfare.
For although they knew God, they neither glorified Him as God nor gave thanks to Him, but they became futile in their thinking and darkened in their foolish hearts... Therefore God gave them over in the desires of their hearts to impurity ... Furthermore, since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, He gave them up to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done.

See how magnifying God comes first.
9After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
11Give us this day our daily bread.
12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:

In the Psalms, praise and worship constantly together with deliverance.
1I will bless the LORD at all times;
His praise will always be on my lips.
2My soul boasts in the LORD;
let the oppressed hear and rejoice.
3Magnify the LORD with me;
let us exalt His name together.
4I sought the LORD, and He answered me;
He delivered me from all my fears.
5Those who look to Him are radiant with joy;
their faces shall never be ashamed.
6This poor man called out, and the LORD heard him;
He saved him from all his troubles.
7The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him,
and he delivers them.

3I will praise You, O LORD, among the nations;
I will sing Your praises among the peoples.
4For Your loving devotion extends beyond the heavens,
and Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
5Be exalted, O God, above the heavens;
may Your glory cover all the earth.
6Respond and save us with Your right hand,
that Your beloved may be delivered.

^^^^^^^^

Having said all that; lip-service won't help those who don't fear the lord.

You who tremble at His word,
hear the word of the LORD:

“Your brothers who hate you
exclude you because of My name
have said, ‘Let the LORD be glorified
that we may see your joy!’
But they will be put to shame.”
Hear the uproar from the city;
listen to the voice from the temple!
It is the voice of the LORD,
repaying His enemies what they deserve!

a colour and your real name and amythyst is the star of protection
Yes, a colour, more specifically, an equal mixture of red and blue, and in actual
fact, magenta does not exist in the spectrum. Our minds manufacture it LOL.
I work in photofinishing and we do not use the word purple there

When I first became a Christian, back in the early 1980's, a pastor did a series on revival and coming before the Lord with music and singing. He marched through the Old Testament, Sunday after Sunday. I think I still have the notes somewhere. I should find them.

Anyway, I had been a professional musician just before God saved me. I love music and always participate in a worship team. But it was interesting to hear that teaching series.

I'm not totally sure about a few things. I knew exactly where the notebook was, except my husband is finishing our basement, and has moved everything around. Now no one knows where anything is. Perhaps I will find the specific box or not. If I do, I will add some things to this thread. If not, maybe another time!
