The article was dated Sunday a week ago - the day before you created this thread - I think it was talking about that night and not tonight.

(Not that it would hurt to take a peak at the sky tonight - just in case...)

From what I read, there was auroral activity but not the power outages and apocalyptic scenarios predicted by the doomsayers. Y2K all over again.
