fun fact- king charles is a descendant of vlad the impaler.

look it up.

I reacted to your post with a laughter emoji, but I just want you to know I wasn't laughing at you, but that Vlad the Impaler is the original Dracula (which means son of the dragon - get it? get it?) and that he's related to King Charles. Hope King Charles isn't as bloodthirsty! But who knows? He just might be the real antichrist! :giggle:

When this took place on Saturday I went from one news station to the next trying to find the news but nope wall to wall coverage on every channel and no US news at all. Now not that I have any have any hatred or bitterness towards the English it just makes me wonder if one of the qualifications in becoming a news corespondent in the US is that they needed to have failed every year of US history in school and their not aware that our forefathers fought a war in 1776 to prove the point that these kings and queens are not our masters? It sort of make me wonder if the English celebrate the fourth of July...

Many Americans are quite insular.
God forbid the news should be about another place for 5 minutes eh? We hear news from the US and other parts of the world regularly.

Many pubs & restaurants do run "4th of July" themes on that day where they serve "American" style food.
Parliament square in London is host to memorial statues of notable statesmen including one-time US president Abraham Lincoln.
There is a plaque at Liverpool Pier Head commemorating over 1m American troops who passed through the port before the D-Day landings in WWII.

We are aware of you it's just that our own history goes back far longer.

FYI The King is not our master. We are a constitutional monarchy.
Frightfully sorry that our sceptred isle spoiled your woke news for a weekend...... but ... GOD SAVE THE KING!

The beginning of a new era. Is especially interesting to those of us in the UK.
God Bless You :)
I thoroughly enjoyed the day. My favourite part was the presentation of The Bible.
The reading from the 1st chapter of Colossians was a very good selection. I wonder if it was The Archbishop's choice?

Leaders & representatives of nations sat in church again and heard the Gospel. They heard Jesus Christ proclaimed King of Kings
and Lord of Lords uninterupted. I love that! Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Many of the people present may not hear that & be expected
to take it seriously anywhere else.

Also the music was wonderful.
The silver herald trumpets, instruments and voices lifted up in the lovely natural reverberation of the abbey.

And guess what? While the coronation was taking place the Grim Reaper literally walked across the entrance to Westminster Abbey with his scythe. There is a photograph of this. So what does this mean?
"literally"

Are you sure is wasn't Obi-Wan Kenobi?

Here it is Monday, May 8, 2023, and I'm still here. I still have food on my table. I have a new car (maybe a little bit used). I have a beautiful loving bride, who has been by my side for 62 years. I have a house that keeps me warm in the winter, cool in the summer, and dry year round. I could go on for pages with the blessings that I enjoy today, and will enjoy into the future. The greatest of them is a God that is with me wherever I go, and Who promised me that He would never leave me.

There have been many bumps, ditches, and road blocks that have challenged me. Every time one occurs, God has brought me through it. I'll let you all worry about King Charles, King Biden, King Trump, or even King Putin. I'll let you all worry about the crash of the dollar, bit coins, and foreign currencies. I'll let you all worry about the end of the world, end of time, millennial reign, the mark of the beast, or anything else you can come up with. Me! I have a Savior who will always be with me. I can always count on Him.

I refuse to waste the remainder of my days worrying about the deeds of man. I plan to live them rejoicing in the blessings that God is providing me. I hope that you all will take a day off the worrying, and "turn your eyes toward Jesus".

We are all expressing our own views here. I have many favorite shows filmed in the UK, my favorite of all 'Long Lost Family UK' and all Agatha Christie stuff. I admire the Queen as a leader worthy of acclaim.
Regarding adultery, Presidents in the US have done the same, but not in a fashion that they had a long-term love affair and then married someone else, then continued their love affair. I remember Princess Di saying that right at the get-go of her marriage w/Charles he was calling his true love for advise. It was apparent to Di exactly the treachery that was going on. Sadly, she died an early death while seeking something that evaded her.
While I'm nobody's judge, I'm not sure if I could ever throw my hat in King Charles's circle. I have felt the same about other leaders, incl USA, that I certainly don't condone but pray for as God has instructed.

As a point of information for those who may not know, Charles was anointed with oil from the Mount of Olives.
Yeah, right, like security is going to stop the Grim reaper.
Oh come now, it's Great Britain.:p

Was that left over from Trump's inauguration?

Charles is only an imposter, there is but one KING!!! And Jesus is the KING OF KINGS!! I just wanted to see whether that stone was under his Throne chair, and it was. Many may not know what that stone is or represents. The show unexplained spoke on it for those who care.

Charles III Takes Coronation Oath on Holy Bible, is Crowned King

https://www.breitbart.com/europe/20...oronation-oath-on-holy-bible-is-crowned-king/

King Charles the son of the Prince of Greece has been crowned on May 6th, 2023. As Prince he declared he wanted his reign to stand with one world religion.

I didn't bother watching the coronation at all. I'm still upset at how Charles treated Diana who was such a lovely woman. She should have been Queen Diana, but now we're stuck with Queen Rottweiler. 👎🤮

I believe few people are as destructive to humanity, and evil as the current “Royals”, but honestly, look how insanely ridiculous this guy looks:

The UK owes its continued existence to the US. If the US had not intervened in World War Two, the UK would be speaking German today!
well, some of the British royalty was actually German but they learned to speak English. They didnt learnt to speak English from the Americans lol. They changed their names to be more Englishy...

I only watched a bit of it but stuff like this bores me

Lots of horses and parads and pomp and circumstance...yawn. And the songs they sang you could hardly understand what they were singing. A 'jolly good show' thr Brits called it but they have to have something to watch on tv I suppose otherwise they complain they have nothing to watch except the rain falling down outside their windows. lol
