The feeding of the five thousnd is found in all four gospels and the feeding of the four thousand in three gospels. Baskets used to collect the left over pieces is significant. The english version of the bibles do not do justice to who these people were.
The basket used to feed the 5000 was a kophino from the greek manuscripts and anywhere in all four gospels the basket is mentioned it is a kophino. The Stong's Concordance the number is 2894. Now this is a jewish basket and from the scriptures we can identify also the participants by the questions they asked of the Lord when they followed him which only a jew would have said. Like our ancestors ate manna in the wilderness---

Jesus had just returned from Sidon and Tyre in lebanon and approached the area of Decapolis, a group of 10 cities given to the greeks by the Romans for their assistance in securing this area. This basket was not jewish but gentile, we can also confirm a spuris basket was used in the book of Acts to escape Damascus, a gentile b asket in a gentile city.
