This should provide a context to part of the Southern perspective of the War of Northern Aggression aka Civil War. This information was purposely left out of public school text books, so there's bound to be some strong disagreement on my points.

Did you know president Davis said that if the North won the war they would rewrite history in their favor? Just what happened.

I didn't know that.
He sure was right. The victors always write the history books. What a shame that things have gotten to where they are now.

They demonized Davis and made Lincoln out to be everybody's favorite president. Lincoln used to be my favorite, just like every other boy growing up. Then I started asking questions and reading books besides my required text books. That took me back to the source documents. Since then, I realize that history text books are purely biased to shape everyone's opinions to the Federal monolithic gt perspective.
