Hello I’ve just always been curious about this. But why do many rockstars kill themselves? Does anyone know what would lead them to that

I heard that they sign away their life, not with ink, but their own blood, to the devil.
In order to get successful and filthy rich, only then to find out what a lonely unsatisfying life it really is.
The less you have, the more faith you have.

They let the adversary have first place, he only comes to steal, kill and destroy.

I would imagine that they would feel much like Solomon felt after he experienced so much and yet at the end of the day it just didn't satisfy, all is vanity. Not that the rockstars had wisdom as Solomon did else, they would have done what He said and feared GOD and keep His commandments.

The rockstars these days that are dying of "suicide" are likely getting murdered for not holding their end of the bargain they made with the prince of the power of the air.... That is what I have been seeing of late.

I think a lot of them had depression which strangely enough, helped them to write better songs and perform the songs with deep feeling. But all of them who committed suicide refused to turn to the Lord for help.

2 Corinthians 7:10 Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

I have a favorite song from the 80's called "In a Big Country," by the band known as Big Country that is very light and encouraging for people who are down on their luck. One of the major writers of the song was Stuart Adamson. He had stayed sober for over a decade when he started drinking, possibly from problems with his second marriage. He disappeared the day his second wife filed for divorce. A few weeks later they found him dead by hanging. I really wish he had turned to the Lord! God would have definitely get him through that very difficult time.

Check out the lyrics - he tried to be so encouraging to other people, but couldn't overcome his own sadness:

Big Country - In A Big Country

Ha

I've never seen you look like this without a reason
Another promise fallen through, another season passes by you

Shock

I never took the smile away from anybody's face
And that's a desperate way to look for someone who is still a child

In a big country, dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive

I thought that pain and truth were things that really mattered
But you can't stay here with every single hope you had shattered

I'm not expecting to grow flowers in a desert
But I can live and breathe and see the sun in wintertime

In a big country, dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive

In a big country, dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive

So take that look out of here, it doesn't fit you
Because it's happened doesn't mean you've been discarded
Pull up your head off the floor, come up screaming
Cry out for everything you ever might have wanted
I thought that pain and truth were things that really mattered
But you can't stay here with every single hope you had shattered

Shock, 1, 2

I'm not expecting to grow flowers in a desert
But I can live and breathe and see the sun in wintertime

In a big country, dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive

In a big country, dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive

In a big country, dreams stay with you
Like a lover's voice fires the mountainside
Stay alive

Drugs are quite prevalent in the music industry. People get into all kinds of self destructive behaviours,
regardless of their profession. If they start out with a medical condition that results in mental instability,
that just makes everything worse, too. Many who take their own lives do so because they have caused
so much pain and suffering to others, they feel they cannot bear the weight of conviction, culpability,
responsibility for it, when things come crashing down around them. Whatever the cause, it is tragic.

Have you ever seen the movie, The Sunset Limited?

This is what I suspect.

I am glad I am not the only one to wonder about this. It is possible to sense the unseen forces at work in very successful heavy rock musicians.
