Modern Day Prophets?

Blasphemous Mormon View of Jesus

Oldman, they actually believe in a false Jesus.
They have a warped view of how He came to the earth too. Have you ever seen the Mormon cartoon?

BTW, I Don't think you are being convinced by them, but am providing information that will strengthen you in God's Word against their deception. They have been deceived by their late.teens so much, that it is difficult to win them. However, I have useful tools if you want them.
the vidoes are short (y)to the point and not filled with any nonsense ! (y) time for :coffee:

I'm glad you got something from those.
I noticed the point about modern day (later day "saints") prophets applies to those within Christianity as much as cults like Mormons. Every other week I hear about someone speaking new "Revelations". That would make Revelation plural, but the book has no "s" because God closed His Word. Joseph Smith for one, plagiarized the KJV in many of his writings to give them an air of authority and acceptance. Everything he wrote was junk though, just like the other fake preachers.
Lunch time for me.
Enjoy your coffee. 🌮😎👍

Perhaps this short excerpt will be a blessing.

I'm wondering the same thing. Was the attack solely because of your testimony? With no provocation against them?
I'd like to hear details because I might learn something from his experience. I've had my own share of attacks, but didn't get them from the Mormons. Perhaps I'll post details sometime. I'm afraid of losing rewards so I keep most things private. On the other hand, I may get books published after taking enough time to carefully consider every point and edit. I want my experiences to benefit others too.

I have had plenty of JWs come to my door, but never a Mormon.

I honestly think there is zero value in using apologetics to convert either heretical group.

What IS valuable is giving them THE Gospel unto Salvation and see if the Holy Spirit works on them.

1. We are sinners unable to pay our sin debt.

2. Jesus is God

3. Jesus suffered and died to pay our sin debt.

4. Jesus rose to life on the 3rd day.

Confess with your mouth, believe in your heart, and you will be saved.

Period. The ONLY Way to be saved.

Any resistance to that, and you know there is no fruit.

Romans 1:16
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

I approach everyone this way regardless of which false religion they belong to as you see with my gospel witnesses on here.
The one thing that is important is to know the basics of who you are talking to. The individual might need clarification on a certain point. For instance, the Mormons think they know Who Jesus is, but they have been taught an umbilical false Jesus and Father.
The Jehovah's Witnesses don't believe in hell or that they could go to heaven. They need to learn that Jesus saves from hell and offers eternal life as the free gift, as opposed to soul sleep or annihilation.
They are all saved by believing the same Gospel though.

chains, ball bats, rocks, clubs, knives, boards, anything they can find or have on them.
I've always heard that the Mormons were peaceful types, at least the later day ones. Back in the times of Brigham Young there were some battles. Are these the Cripts or the Bloods Mormons?
😄

I did get some serious threats online from some nominal Catholics, reprobates and maybe a Mormon or two. They hated God's Word. Hebrews 4:12
I wouldn't call verbal threats literal attacks, but death threats are what they are. Especially when they put a bounty on you for any personal info/ dox, etc.
I've had to claim
Isaiah 54:17 a time or two.

"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."

Have mormon family living next door but never tried to witness to them (or they to us) .
Its the JWs setting up stall beside libraries that you have to watch out for and they are perisstent and follow you round, they tend to be ladies dresseed in black skirts looking like widows. Do not answer them and do not open your door to them.

Mormons are usually young college age men dressed in business suits on bicycles, but their 'evangelism' is laughable they try to corner random strangers walking and minding their own business on the street and interrupt whatever you are doing. No I dont want to be converted to your cult on my way to the shops thank you.

If you really want to help others you would pump their gas for them or help load groceries instead of being a nuisance and a false witness...but see mormons never help others only their own

We ended up often feeding their cat when they went away on holidays but they never did the same for us, and often wouldnt give anyone that isnt mormon the time of day unless they converted to their cult.

They have big PR ads from time to time putting out the image of "family values."
The surveys show a different story on average. No christian is perfect, but they have far more serious problems due to false doctrines.

I'd rather spend my time talking to an entire nursing home of people who are close to death than invest that in a couple of teenage "elders "who were raised in their cult since they were in a bassinet. Those guys and gals serve the devil and don't even know it. I wish they were open minded to the gospel.

Why Mormons are So Hard to Reach
(1 Minute)

Like any cult, they have their own writings that they attribute to God. God hates that and condemned in the harshest way those false prophets that did that in the O.T. and NT.
The first sin in the garden was Satan attributing to God his own lies to Eve. He cast doubt on God's Word.

. Concluding the inspiration of Scriptures are the curses found at the conclusion of Revelation.
These cults pass off their fake Bibles and prophecies as God's words. Last time I talked to a woman who was suckered and beguiled into their cult, she had rejected God's true Word for their lies. That's why I have little patience for the wicked fake preachers, but compassion for their victims. That's what Jesus did.

Yes and Isaiah 43:10 --- LDS males believe that they will be exhaulted as a God. I do bring up embarsing history of their history. Example: racism in their scriptures.

Isaiah 43:10
King James Version
10 Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me.

Isaiah 43:10
Easy-to-Read Version
10 The Lord says, “You people are my witnesses and the servant I chose. I chose you so that you would help people believe me. I chose you so that you would understand that ‘I Am He’—I am the true God. There was no God before me, and there will be no God after me.

“I [am] opposed to hanging, even if a man kill another, I will shoot him, or cut off his head, spill his blood on the ground, and let the smoke thereof ascend up to God; and if ever I have the privilege of making a law on that subject, I will have it so.”

- Prophet Joseph Smith, Jr., History of the Church, v. 5, p. 296, 1949

“[My life was in danger] if I remained there, because of my protest against the doctrine of Blood Atonement and other new doctrines that were brought into the Church.”

- Apostle William Smith, brother of Joseph Smith, Jr., Temple Lot Case, p. 98

“I will tell you how much I love those characters. If they had any respect to their own welfare, they would come forth and say, whether Joseph Smith was a Prophet or not, ‘We shed his blood, and now let us atone for it;' and they would be willing to have their heads chopped off, that their blood might run upon the ground, and the smoke of it rise before the Lord as an incense for their sins.”

- Prophet Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, v. 2, p. 179, February 18, 1855

“The time has been in Israel under the law of God, the celestial law, or that which pertains to the celestial law, for it is one of the laws of that kingdom where our Father dwells, that if a man was found guilty of adultery, he must have his blood shed, and that is near at hand.”

- Prophet Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, v. 4, p. 219

“Will you love your brothers and sisters likewise, when they have committed a sin that cannot be atoned for without the shedding of their blood? Will you love that man or woman well enough to shed their blood? That is what Jesus Christ meant.”

- Prophet Brigham Young, Deseret News, April 16, 1856

“Any of you who understand the principles of eternity – if you have sinned a sin requiring the shedding of blood, except the sin unto death – would not be satisfied or rest until your blood should be spilled, that you might gain the salvation you desire. This is the way to love mankind.”

- Prophet Brigham Young, Deseret News, April 16, 1856

“I say, rather than that apostates should flourish here, I will unsheath [sic] my bowie knife, and conquer or die [Great commotion in the congregation, and a simultaneous burst of feeling, assenting to the declaration.]. Now, you nasty apostates, clear out, or judgment will be put to the line, and righteousness to the plummet [Voices, generally, ‘go it, go it.']. If you say it is right, raise your hands [All hands up.]. Let us call upon the Lord to assist us in this, and every good work.”

- Prophet Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses, v. 1, p. 83; online at Link is here.
