The recent thread in miscellaneous forum about living without money reminds me of an idea I have for a movie plot.

The movie will be set mid tribulations, so all pre-trib believers will hate it immediately. It will be about a community of Christians trying to survive during the tribulation. One of them volunteers to take the mark of the beast so he can do all the buying and selling necessary to keep the community going.

Of course I know it won't really be like that. You will need the mark for things like driving, healthcare access, etc. But it would be a good idea for a movie, and much more realistic than the current tripe being passed as Christian movies.

They could really ham it up too. There could be a scene where the volunteer's spouse tearfully begs the volunteer to not do it. There could be multiple scenes of other people in the community expressing gratitude or remonstrating with him about the foolishness of his actions.

Great Idea! I fully endorse that nomination...
That would be the perfect Pre-Qual for the Post-Armageddon Movie Series "The 100"
When nuclear Armageddon destroys civilization on Earth, the only survivors are those on the 12 international space stations in orbit at the time. Three generations later, the 4,000 survivors living on a space ark of linked stations see their resources dwindle and face draconian measures established to ensure humanity's future. Desperately looking for a solution, the ark's leaders send 100 juvenile prisoners back to the planet to test its habitability. Having always lived in space, the exiles find the planet fascinating and terrifying, but with the fate of the human race in their hands, they must forge a path into the unknown.

Are these people really Christians? An eternity in hellfire for the volunteer, for 3 years convenience tops for the so-called Christians so they can still buy and sell the comforts of this world?

You mean like that Noah movie? I dunno. I still haven't watched it. I can't bear those movies that purport to describe Christian events, but somehow make them secular.

I sometimes wonder if "Barn Owls" Rejoiced when humans invented Barns.
