Angels are not people, they serve the Creator, we were made "in His image" a little lower than G-d, and Jesus now indwells the believer.
I know Jesus said
I go to prepare a place for you", does that really mean "mansion" or did we lose something in translation?:)

HELLO Good morning, I don't know ? Because when we go home to be with our father the word says we will be living mansions, so I was thinking, if we have homes in heaven, why wouldn't angels have a place, they ware armer, so they have to change close, the word says in psalms it say they in camp a round us, so the have stuff, :unsure:mmm do you see what I mean?mmmmm I wonder?
Isn’t in fun to wonder… I simply end up in AWE of God…

God creates everything with a plan, purpose and place..

Each gate of the wall around the New Jerusalem will have an angel standing at it.

Perhaps at the door of our mansion our angel will be standing…

Joh_14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

The Word does not say we will have a mansion . it just says there are many mansions. It does not say He will prepare a mansion for anyone it says place .

I tend to believe the word mansions was not translated very well. To me it is more to be in His presence than a building.

Hello sweet Shittim!

Correction… God made us a little lower than the angels and crowned us with glory and honor.

That is what our scripture says, and it is an unfortunate translation from my understanding and experience with Him.
I receive confirmation in the Spirit this is true.

When our earthly "mansion" wears out and/or He chooses that our work here is done we know we leave this dimension and are no more here.:)(y):coffee:

Ok to wonder I guess.........remember that when Jesus took upon Himself the form of man, He was a "little less "than the angels..... Angels are a higher creation of God than man is, yet His love for man is boundless, and His Salvation Plan is for man alone......

Angels have many duties, and I suspect are everywhere. You can do a search of the KJV "what are the angels duties" and get some good info. We know they are messengers from God, which would mean they travel between His Kingdom and earth. They are also charged with looking over us, especially little children. The angels of little children are around Gods Throne at all times....they also can intervene in our lives to save us from some tragedy, and or lead us on a safer path.... There are many more things they can do......

There is no mention in Scripture I cn find that says angels require a "home" to abide in

what do people think of when they see the word 'mansion'.

I tend to think of a mansion as like a luxury home.

We use the word 'manse' to describe a home attached to a church or close by. Though most of these are not luxurious homes as theres a common phrase poor as church mice...mice would live in the church, but maybe thats really a round about way of saying a luxury accommodation for a mouse.

Actually that was a good translation, since it was about homes in Heaven. Why should we not believe that those mansions are in fact mansions? And not to be compared with mansions on earth, since they are far better and in fact heavenly in construction. Christ's presence is IN ADDITION TO those mansions. The New Jerusalem is an actual heavenly city, with space for countless mansions. And the one who is the Builder and Maker of this city is God Himself.

Why would our glorified bodies need a house? Ya think glorified bodies need to sleep, eat, shower? I doubt we will be kicking back watching TV.

Since neither you nor I know enough about the New Jerusalem, you would be better off to admit that we simply do not know enough, instead of mocking. But we do know that (1) there is a New Jerusalem, which is an actual heavenly city, and (2) there are countless mansions in that city for the saints of God. Be content with that knowledge.

Your assertions directly contradict Scripture (1 Timothy 6:16) ~

He alone (God) is immortal and dwells in unapproachable light.

Joh_14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

The Word does not say we will have a mansion . it just says there are many mansions. It does not say He will prepare a mansion for anyone it says place .
