Correct, I can not change LDS, but God has brought them to the real Jesus through me. When I was in the USAF, a revial with me at the center, got many LDS saved, including my roommate, who was one of their missionaries. In fact, many of their missionaries came to the real Jesus.

I heard in a recent interview from a former Muslim turned Christian, claim that the views of the afterlife and marriage in Mormonism are similar to Islam. He said it's as if the same being that visited Muhammad in the cave was the same one that visited Joseph Smith.....light bearer/Lucifer perhaps?

I want nothing to do with such scum. They are whitewashed tombs. Pretty looking but death.

That is very unlikely. They are probably "softening" you up so that you are convinced that the LDS church is the true church. The next time you see them you could simply tell then that you have nothing in common with them, and that they should simply move on.
The last pair of Mormons that came to my house were ordered to stop coming because they were starting to believe me.

i was asked not to return to their church because the others there were raising uncomfortable questions after I voiced objections in their BOM study

i'm on a blacklist now.

i know this is an older thread, but chances are all of us will have such encounters. they are a wealthy and powerful organization, second only to the RCC, and particularly target evangelicals because those without a solid foundation are easily swayed.

Don't give up hope, keep telling the truth.
they thought they were sent to you to convert you but my God sent them to you to hear the truth. it is better we walk in faith than cynicism.

just focus on Christ in all you say to them and ignore everything else. He is all that matters. do your homework. be ready.
love them. be true.

I have been banned from many churches for asking questions that I thought were simple. Let's face it, lots of people don't want to think.

Prove it!
I lived among them for years....I know better.
I was a Sexton, a fundamentialist LDS cult, sect. I even became the leading prophet when my Father was murdered for going after his 18th wife. I was responsible for ending plural marriage in that Sect as my only Revelation and I stated there will not be any prophets after me. Many men at that time only had one wife for life. I also, lived among LDS in Denver, CO and most were single marriages. Sexton's were offshout of King Strang of Beaver Island in Michigan. My "prophecy" read, "Don't go out and marry your sister, have a normal life of one wife for life." I then Preached the true Gospel as Baptists understand it. Every day I repeated the Gospel with all I spoke to. Most became born again of the Holy Spirit and are walking in Our Lord and Savior -- the real Jesus. At first, the men hated the prophecy, the Ladies loved it.

Jehovah's Witnesses and "Bible Students" what the watchtower came out of are Arians. Have often been told that I am demon possessed. This work bad for them because younger ones kept coming to my home to see what a demoned possessed person looks like. Many of them are now born again due to God's discussions thru me.

Amish will "shun" at times and in certain situations, doesn't seem like something Jesus would do and yet in Ephesians it speaks of traits that we are seeing more and more each day, and tells us, "From such, turn away".

Yes! Those that have been raised in the LDS Church may have never heard the Good News--don't hold that against them. You may be the mechanism God will work through.

How can they be held accountable for what they do not know?

Firstly the old order are polygamist. And marrying of children belongs to them. The Mormons of today are not.

A servant of Christ is sent out to proclaim the gospel and plant the seed, water the seed, and God causes it to grow. God desires all to be saved.
How do they know if they do not hear? How do they hear if no one speaks. Dealing with cult members takes patients and guidance to a careful study of the Word of God.
Those trying to reveal that Word should understand what exactly Mormons believe and refute it with scripture.
Educate yourself first on the their false doctrine then have meaningful discussions using only the KJV for that is the only bible they use. Even then they believe KJV is errant and only Mormon book is truth.
This work is for the Holy Spirit as always. And those equipped with Him and knowledge of His Word. We are vessels.
