An unseasonably deep area of low pressure will bring strong winds and heavy rain to the UK on Wednesday.
A Yellow National Severe Weather Warning for Wind has been issued for southern parts of England on Wednesday, running from 04:00-18:00. Gusts are likely to reach 50mph in some English Channel coastal areas with 55 to 60mph possible in the most exposed locations in the far southwest and, perhaps, a little higher in the very most exposed parts of coastal southern England such as the Needles.

Reminds me of the spring of 1977 in Wales.

I think seasonal change has arrived for sure the seasons are changing dramatically it's almost like we where almost a month behind last year and a more than month ahead this year. Of normal cycles.


It's seems where having bazaar events of spring like conditions in autumn followed by winter like conditions in summer.

I provided links to four different videos/pictures of two suns in the US, in China and in India. There is absolutely no way that the one in the US or China was a lens flare. In one of them you can clearly see a green lens flare that is moving about as the person's camera moves and yet the two suns are not moving.

There's some pretty good news for green energy as the world’s largest wind turbine has just been switched on.
In the announcement by the China Three Gorges Corporation, the energy firm revealed that the MySE 16-260 turbine was the first of its kind to be installed at the offshore site.
Standing at a staggering 500ft (152m) tall, the mega-turbine looms over the Taiwan Strait and is also the turbine of its size to be linked up to a commercial grid.

Installed on July 19, experts hope that the device will be able to produce up to 16 megawatts of energy for homes near Fujian Province.
If that weren’t impressive enough, each blade is 403ft (123m) long – which is rough twice the length of a standard American football pitch.

Weighing in at an insane 54 tons each, the blades will cover an area of nearly 540,000 square feet (50,000 square meters) as they rotate and generate enough electricity to power an estimated 36,000 homes per year.

Experts also suggest that the energy generated could save up to 54,000 tons of carbon dioxide, when compared to traditional coal power plants.
Whilst you shouldn’t throw caution to the wind just yet, the emergence of mega-turbines is a huge boost in the fight against climate change.
The huge turbine has already withstood its first major test: Typhoon Talim. The tropical storm battered parts of East Asia earlier this month, but the MySE 16-260 turbine was unphased by the high winds.
In fact, the company behind the turbine, Mingyang Smart Energy, suggested that the device could withstand ‘extreme wind speeds of 79.8 [meters per second]’ in a LinkedIn post.

Britain endured its sixth wettest July ever last month after the country was battered by downpours.

A succession of low pressure systems brought long periods of damp and windy weather to much of the country, making it feel at times more like autumn than summer - a sharp contrast to July 2022, which saw heatwaves and temperatures as high as 40C.

The year 1988 holds the record for the UK's wettest ever July, with an average of 150.5mm of rain, followed by 2009 (145.5mm), 1939 (143.5mm), 1936 (142.6mm), 1888 (142.2mm) and now 2023.

But more nearer to where I live we smashed the all time record with

Some parts of England also set new rainfall records. Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Merseyside all saw their wettest July. Lancashire was the wettest county compared to average, with 234.6mm of rain falling in the month.


Which means we smashed the all time record by almost 100 mm in a month'

And sadly, it doesn't look like Brits will be able to put our umbrellas away any time soon, as further rainfall is expected this week after the Met Office put out a weather warning for thunderstorms on Wednesday morning.
