The whole Bible is the words of Christ.
In one sense yes. However the unique teachings of Christ are only in the NT, and primarily in the Gospels. It is significant that Jesus was never wordy, but anything He spoke had great value.

I don't disagree. But the Bible is a whole. The red letters of Jesus are not any more inspired than any others. And when some perceive a difference between the words of Jesus and some other writer, they can dismiss passages of scripture rather than reconcile them.

Jesus has FULL authority in scripture as the Son of GOD sitting at the Right of the Holy father in Heaven! Do you get why his words have precedence over any other in the bible except the Holy Father himself? this is IMPORTANT to know. Like Nehemiah mentioned Jesus used very little wording, approximately 440 words if I remember correctly there is a reason for that is it so everyone educated or not understands his important words! so everyone understands the same concepts and to avoid any interpretations.

Jesus had his favourite apostle, John, I have my favorite in the bible it is Jesus our messiah, nothing wrong with that.

Blessings.

All scripture is authoritative. I gave a word of warning because there are those who dismiss scripture if they think it disagrees with something Jesus said while on earth. The truth is that they actually agree and merely need to be reconciled. The scripture cannot be broken. If one part is in error, it cast doubt on the whole.

I understand and agree but should we not all align with the words of Christ? In any case this is what I am following, the teachings of Christ.

Blessings.
May I ask how you understand the following passage that Peter wrote.

2 Peter 3:15-16
And count the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters when he speaks in them of these matters. There are some things in them that are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do the other Scriptures.

More specifically, is Peter calling Paul's letters scripture?

Paul also wrote to you according to the wisdom given him, as he does in all his letters... as they do the other Scriptures.

Of course I read Apostle Paul as scriptures it is in the bible is it not? Please refrain from pushing things I never said, are you trying to imitate the pharisees by putting a stumble block in front of a brother , follower in Christ? I am well aware of 2 Peter 3 also.

Peace.

Is the true Gospel being preached today?

To boil it down Jesus said we love God and love our neighbors.

How does one arrive at that point, since that is what FOLLOWS the true Gospel? That's the result of obedience to the Gospel. Do you see the difference?

Please read the following declaration by Paul.

1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Now I make known to you, brothers and sisters, the gospel which I preached to you, which you also received, in which you also stand, by which you also are saved, if you hold firmly to the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. For I handed down to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures...

There is no doubt that Paul is reciting a very early creed, that he received.

Notice the phrase, "the gospel".

If you believe this then you also are saved.

You stated this in post #63.

"Do you get why his words have precedence over any other in the bible except the Holy Father himself?"

So the writing of John and Paul is secondary to what Jesus stated?

John 13:16 Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

Then Paul goes on to say:
1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a ringing gong or a clanging cymbal. 2If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have absolute faith so as to move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.… 1 Cor 13:1
So the 'gospel' is based on what beside 'agape' love?

If repentance is fully preached from Scripture (Acts 2:38) then repentance is the other
side of believing. "Except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish" is what Christ said.
Amen. It does seem that repentance is primarily a relinquishing of one's rebellion against and opposition to God...

You can talk all you want about anything else, but the gospel will always be what Paul stated.

For I handed down to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.

Romans 10:9
That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

We only preach Christ crucified.

Everything else involves our behavior and especially towards others.

I'm not a beginner 😂 and what Paul and Jesus are saying is you can have all that necessary salvation and building our faith daily, and that's vital obviously, but how easily that's gone the second some get into politics or petty disagreements. Anyway thanks for your concern.

...Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures...
That' s exactly what I was pointing out. And believing that comes AHEAD OF loving God and your neighbor.
