The whole context was about money. The question posed to you was explicitly about money. You could've easily said, "I give to the homeless but not money." If you didn't mean money, it sure sounds like you were trying very hard to make studenoftheword think you meant money. Since the whole conversation was about money, the real question is, where did you say you weren't talking about money?
So because I didn't say I don't give money to the homeless, I actually meant I give money to the homeless? LOL That is too funny.

You have said quite a few times that you do not give money to homeless people... though you do
other things trying to help them, which is quite commendable of you, and also, I suspect, part of
the reason why you created this thread - since you feel others do way less than you do.

It's very easy to see what you said and what you meant.

So now that you have been Blessed with this cash ----do you then Give some to someone else who is in desperate need of money like you were ---
I have always been giving to the homeless, even when I have little to give.

I encourage others to do the same to build up treasures in heaven.

There is no CALLING to help the poor and those is need. It's something you are suppose to do.
Quit trying to be a bigshot; you're no better than anyone else around here. You act like because you go around handing out stuff to homeless people you're king of the mountain. You have your own issues to worry about before you start trying to tell everyone else what they should do.

If you help the poor, you are lending to the LORD— and he will repay you! Proverbs 19:17

1 John 3:17 "If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person?" I have seen this happen many times in church. Someone has a desperate need and Christians say things like "GOD want you to know you have to depend on him" or "GOD is just testing you to see if you will trust him" The Christian will not lift a finger to help the person. They are all words and no actions.
Our lives are difficult and we may feel left behind always. Such is life. Although there would have been so many times where we received kindness from people before who are not there for us now. This could be at Church, among relatives, work colleagues. I have no scriptural quote for this. Just my observation. People help because they want to. They don't have to. But i know that the need can and will be dire sometimes. For my part, I do what I can to help people. If I can't, I straight up tell them I can't. I even pray for them and go on my way. Sometimes I may have more things to worry about in my life that I may be annoyed by the way which people ask for help. But if God has blessed us, then we must help others. To the best of our abilities.

You are supposed to put to death the lusts of the flesh. You certainly have not done that.

Just as each of us has one body with many members, and not all members have the same function, so in Christ we who are
many are one body, and each member belongs to one another. We have different gifts according to the grace given us.

Do you really think any kind of lust is a sin or bad?

How many Christians are all words and no actions? Whenever I see that thread title I think that we're better off seeing where we can do better individually ourselves rather than decide that many others aren't walking the walk, they're just talking the talk. It seems to be human nature to see ourselves as doing fine while sensing that others don't measure up. Since every member of the Body is unique and has their own specific function within the Body of Christ, I don't think any of us can answer the thread title question. Now go in peace to love and serve the Lord.
