Of course there are many decent police and deputies. I could name a few.
Who does the hiring?
What are their goals?
If a person is provided someone else's money, (taxes,) to do with what he wants, (make money for himself), then his hiring practices will be predictable,( hire men of ill repute that will do anything and everything to take money.)

Instead of investigating him they are promoting him to Captain. Go figure.

No, that is changing the subject, how do we know that some are justified and some are not? Because they all are investigated, that is how. No one is justifying Ashley Babbit, what they are asking is why is her death not investigated while others who were felons and the police were justified in shooting them were investigated?

You know how you don't let a police force turn into the Gestapo? You investigate every shooting and every time they kill someone.

Post #82 he said that the man was promoted to captain rather than investigate his shooting and killing Ashli. You are now trying to change the discussion. No one should be "justified" until there is an investigation and that investigation needs to be made public. No one with BLM would have tolerated the various people shot and killed by the police to allow them to do their investigation in secret much less promote the killer.

Ashli had no police record and was not armed. Was she involved in a misdemeanor trespass? Yes. Is that a valid reason to shoot and kill a person? I think we need an investigation.

BLM rioted in Wisconsin when Jacob was shot (not killed) even though he was armed, was violating a restraining order, had a warrant out for his arrest and was in the process of committing a felony. The police were very transparent in their investigation and all the police were exonerated (not justified, exonerated, there is a difference). I think Ashli, a veteran, deserves the same respect that Jacob was given.

Perhaps you want to correct this now that we know Chauvin did not kill George Floyd?

Self defense? Did you see the videos of the capital? All the video will be coming out, and we will see then. At that point there can still be a trial since there is no expiry date on murder.
