I only ignore shills, and then only 2 of 'em. Perhaps people are just ignoring too many people? They might miss something important?

What some people think is important and what I think is important don't always mesh.

Why be offended by a red X. I thought it only means you disagree with the post.
Does not bother me at all.

This is in relation to people who are being ignored through the ignore feature. Using the "show all" feature shows emoji responses of ignored people and that apparently bothers some people.

You got a point but It’s something about It to me that screams (I don’t agree with nothing you have to say whether you are right or wrong).I wish that emoji were changed to something different or just eliminated.🥰

"I disagree."

Is that better than getting an X? .

That’s what I’m saying,a different looking emoji Indicating that the person disagrees with the post would IMO look better and be a more acceptable (I disagree) emoji rather than a hardcore X.

No, no, no! A cross needs to be red!!! Think of your math teacher when you were outright wrong. That he marked your answer incorrect didn't mean he didn't like you (although, who knows - maybe he didn't?) - as a thumbs-down icon indicates - it just means you got the answer wrong, and need to apply better thinking next time.

The emoji options are likely baked into the foundational software the site is built on, and therefore the only options provided.
The software the site is built on is not very customizable.
Personally I'm not any more phased by the red x than any other negative emoji. It's just an emoji. I think if you're That bothered by something so insignificant the problem isn't a red cartoon X, but lies elsewhere.
