Do you guard the words that you speak? We will all, sinner and Saint, give an account of every worthless (idle/careless) word on that day before God. Here is Jesus speaking to the Pharisees (sinners):

Matthew 12
[34] O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
[35] A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
[36] But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
[37] For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

A Message to the Church

James 3
[1] My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
[2] For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
[3] Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
[4] Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.
[5] Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

[8] But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
[9] Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.
[10] Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
[11] Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter?
[12] Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.
[13] Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom.

To my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ, our diligence in conduct and speech is what separates us from the world. We have to let our lights shine before men that the Father may be glorified. The world is growing darker and darker, so our lights should really be brighter than ever.

To my sinner friends, your words and conduct are condemning you before our Great God. He is offering you mercy today. Will you heed the call? Don't put it off. Procrastination is a killer that leads to hell. Turn to Jesus. Confess and forsake your sins.

Romans 10

If a person who claims to be Christian has to ask, it is probably a waste of time to tell them.

Jesus only, or does a cleric have to intermediate?
He does not have to, we may go directly to Jesus. A pastor may facilitate but it's not necessary

Confess and be absolved; sounds pretty good. But since I'm not Lutheran I wanted to know what a Lutheran means by that. Would you rather I ask for clarification or accuse you of something you didn't mean? If you feel that questions about your beliefs is being antagonistic you must have pretty thin skin.

Romans 10
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. (KJV)

lots of truth in here . But there’s also Jesus

he taught his disciples this it seems cut and dried and final

“Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭10:32-33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And Peter then this happened to one of his closest disciples

As Jesus is being spit on and beaten and mocked in the hall Peter is watching from a distance

“Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands, saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee. But he denied before them all, saying, I know not what thou sayest. And again he denied with an oath, I do not know the man.

Then began he to curse and to swear, saying, I know not the man. And immediately the cock crew.

And Peter remembered the word of Jesus, which said unto him, Before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice. And he went out, and wept bitterly.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭26:67-70, 72, 74-75‬ ‭KJV‬‬

My point is we do not serve the letter anymore there is heart and love and mercy and spirit now so peter seems by the letters here we read that he’s now going to be lost and Jesus will deny him but no that’s not Jesus this is

afyer oerer had three times denied even knowing Jesus after all the miracles and healings and proofs peter denied with his words and toungue even knowing Jesus before men this by the letter assures peters rejection but then Jesus shows himself to us

Look how Jesus the compassionate person restores Peter after he had done this it hurt peters feeling a bit but note what’s happening

“So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee.

He saith unto him, Feed my lambs. He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me?

And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.”
‭‭John‬ ‭21:15-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the letters will kill if we don’t see the living word in them three times peters tongue condemned him , three times Jesus took away the denials and replaced it with peters confession that he loves Jesus truly

to really understand anything at all we have to centralize Jesus and the gospel not just the words but how he treated “ sinners “ and how he treated those who claimed righteousness

jesus never met a righteous man he only ever met sinners on earth the only difference was some of them knew they were sinners but some of the sinners thought they weren’t because tbey were always looking at “ the sinners “ like this

“Then drew near unto him all the publicans and sinners for to hear him. And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying, This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:1-2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

the thing is though through the gospel the “righteous” people were never willing to moisten and learn from Jesus but the sinners flocked to hear his words because of what he was saying

If I’m a sinner and don’t bent it this is gold

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: but if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬
But if I’m my mind “ I never sin and don’t need forgivness anymore “ that seems faulty and a “ loophole “ and just can’t really mean what he says there

when a human really sees themselves there’s just one great big boat and we’re all in it some see better than others and some imagine thier on the real boat and the poor sinners just never will get on

we really have to magnify on our own lives and deeds and stand in Christs words I don’t think alot of people look at it like that

Amen! I have always since I was like 15.. I ask forgiveness (knowing I am free from sin and He now sees me in right standing because I believe in Christ and sealed by the sweet holy Spirit) for the thing I did and don't remember and hold them not to my account. Asking to bring to my remembrance any sin that I might confess and do a 180 :)

Why did God bother to teach the Church of the ways of righteousness?

If we neglect the righteousness of God being realized through our lives, then we are not the Light of the world that Jesus called us to be. Here is more on the subject of our speech.

James 1
[26] If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

Why did God bother to teach the Church of the ways of righteousness?
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness;

and all these things shall be added unto you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭1:14-15‬ ‭KJV‬‬

With our words and also actions we condemn other people , we judge them , was offend …..but on the other hand with our words we can forgive and cleanse away guilt reconcile an offense someone makes against us , we can help a needy person or refuse with words and actions ect we can hold a grudge against a sinner , or we can make sure they know the offense is forgiven and forgotten with the same words

the Lords ways are governed by a certain law within the gospel

The law doesn’t have this

“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

….And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest:(the gospel of the kingdom is the only thing making this promise in the Bible ) for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.

Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged:

condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned:

forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom.

For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Whosoever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them,

I will shew you to whom he is like: he is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation ( mercy and truth is our foundation Jesus taught it in the gospel ) built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of that house was great.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6:27-28, 31, 35-38, 46-49‬ ‭

what really is his righteousness ? Can it ever be achieved by viewing things through sin ? Or does it have to be viewed forst through mercy and truth ?

Which will bring repentance ? to accept the sinner lost in sin first ? who looks and hears and believes in Jesus ?

“For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: that as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5:6-12, 15, 17, 19-21‬ ‭

When we hear what Jesus was teaching like the sermons he preached in Matthew mark Luke and John were learning his righteousness mercy and truth we have to embrace any believer before they’ll ever come to change thier lives. Jesus hung out with sinners the religious folks hated him and plotted throughout the gospel to trap him in some offense because he embraced the sinners of thier society the lepers they ran out or town ……Jesus sought out and embraced and healed

The prostitutes and sinful women even possessed by seven devils Jesus sought out and embraced as his disciples commoners admitted sinners like Peter and Paul the apostles. These kind of people can see and feel and need the love of Jesus Christ and he can heal and change and call them to repentance just because he loves them

the gospel is how we are saved and where we all realize eventually , we need to break all the way before he can fix us and that’s humbling to realize we have to go to him to be saved. It makes us realize we just share Jesus and his words because we’re just like the sinners we perceive even if alot of it is behind us now we can’t forget
