Only those who have been "blessed" can see or hear. The blessing comes first, then, from that blessing, comes the seeing and hearing. Not everyone has been, nor will be, so blessed.
Wait...let me guess, you are one of the blessed chosen few.

Am I correct? Be Honest.

Its a yes or no question.

Matthew 5:37
New International Version

All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one

By not letting your yes be yes and your no be no, you may be casting doubt on your blessing.

I await your yes or no answer.

Why do you always follow chosen with few? There is a number in heaven that no man can number. The promise to Abraham was as the stars in the sky and grains of sand.

You assume too much about me - I welcome yes or no questions- I do not hide from them.
Answer: yes. But entirely through the mercy and grace of Jesus Christ with nothing contributed from nor by me.
Jesus is the Saviour, man not. Should I hide from that, I would be saying that Christ isn't the Saviour, and that I will never do.
Does that answer your question plainly enough?

Of course you can begin a sentence with a pronoun but that is not the issue.

View attachment 255834

The issue is Brightframe52's unwillingness to simply label the antecedent of the "it" in his response. Can you not see this?

I cannot respond to his assertion about 2nd Peter 2:20-22 (post#6681) because I am unsure of what the "it" means in his comment.

Is this to hard to understand? If you cannot grasp this simple concept then I am at a loss of what to say.
The topic/it was defined by saying "it" means they were never saved:

it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn
away from the holy commandment handed on to them. It has happened to them according to the true
proverb, “A dog returns to its own vomit,” and, “A sow, after washing, returns to wallowing in the mire.”

The third it applies to what happens to those who did not believe... according to the post in question.

The use of a pronoun to start that sentence was not wrong.

Your answer is clear and quite telling.

On the issue of assuming too much about you, it is not you personally but my experience with those claiming to be among the blessed chosen few. Unlike you, most will not give a straight forward answer. Kudos.

False dichotomy fallacy.

For many are called but few are chosen. (Matthew 22:14)

To Cameron143, NightTwister and Magenta, if the above verse does not answer your question, what more can I say?

Did you bother to read the parable that preceeded your quote. The chosen was Israel. When they wouldn't enter the kingdom, the servants went to the highways and byways. That's the Gentiles who Jesus did not come to predominantly...the called.

weren't all the churches addressed in modern day Turkey?
Yes .:). They are called the Seven Churches of Asia... strange to think of Turkey as "Asian."

However, when I look it up, search find says: The vast majority of Turkey's territory is in Asia, but a small part of it is in Europe.

:)
