Confirmation of an Israeli Palestinian Peace Agreement is what starts the countdown of the last 7 years before Jesus' second coming. It will be interesting to see what comes of the meeting today on that very topic:

https://jewishbusinessnews.com/2023...-effort-for-middle-east-peace-without-israel/
That is not Biblical

No one "strengthens a peace treaty for seven years". That is unheard of. You can have a cease fire for a seven weeks, or you can have a peace treaty, but not temporary for seven years.

What Daniel says is not that the covenant is made, but that it is strengthened and it is strengthened temporarily for only seven years.

There is absolutely nothing that says it is a peace treaty with Israel and Palestine. On the contrary, it says that "the many" confirm this covenant, not the two.

When you impose martial law it is done temporarily until you can regain control. Usually until the upcoming election. With the pandemic it was until we could flatten the curve. In the case of agenda 2030 it is for seven years until we can get climate change under control.

They have already had several peace agreements.
No one makes a peace covenant for seven years.

You can lease Hong Kong for 100 years, but not "with the many".

The confirming of Agenda 2030 is the first example I can think of where the "many" are strengthening a covenant for 7 years.

The confirming of the peace agreement will begin the final 7 year tribulation referenced in the Books of Daniel and Revelation. However, the promised peace will not last. The final 3 1/2 years of the 7 year period is known as the Great Tribulation period.

What makes this one different than any of the past ones?

I agree. However, the final agreement will include a two-state solution in an effort to bring peace in the region between Israel and Palestine. It is my understanding from scripture that the agreement will include a sharing agreement concerning the Temple Mount.

See post #7. The UN General Assembly schedule is September 18-26. Regardless of what is the norm concerning peace agreements, etc. makes no difference where God is concerned. It will be interesting to hear what comes about from their discussions.

There is no Bible verse that says the covenant that is confirmed is a peace treaty or that it directly involves Israel.

The reason everyone is confused is because you are making stuff up.

Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The covenant is not made for seven years, it is "confirmed" or "strengthened" for seven years. This has never happened before in the history of the UN. When you make up stuff saying this is a peace treaty with Israel, well there have been many of those.

Who would sign a peace treaty that expires in seven years? Why would Israel agree to some peace treaty to build their temple if it expired in seven years? This is a very poor guess and should be discarded.

However, it is very clear that along with this covenant being strengthened for seven years we also have Israel to have the sacrifice and oblation going. We don't know when Israel starts up the sacrifices, but Daniel has clearly put these two things together. We should not infer that this is due to the covenant being confirmed by the many for seven years, rather what we should definitely see is that these two things happening around the same time should be conclusive proof that you are in the seven year period.

Instead of make believe doctrines let's focus on what the Bible tells us

Revelation 13:17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

You have to have the mark or the number of his name in order to buy or sell. This is not gold, or silver or some other currency, this is a digital currency. One hundred years ago, much less two thousand years ago, the idea that the government was so powerful they could monitor every single transaction was absurd, preposterous. Even fifty years ago we didn't believe this meant the whole world, we figured it was just in Europe. This requires satellite communication, quantum computers, RFID chips, a global digital currency and martial law.

Agenda 2030 is a covenant that was made in 2015. They are strengthening the covenant because countries are not complying with the agreement. So for the next seven years, until 2030, they want to control what everyone can buy or sell, until they can get climate change under control.

Your rude attacks are uncalled for. This thread was started to point out UN efforts to bring peace to the middle east region. The bible prophesies about it and some people are in fact interested in what is going on over in that region.

UN Holding ‘Peace Day Effort For Middle East Peace’ Without Israel
The event will not include any Israeli or Palestinian officials as none were invited.

The United Nations on Monday, as part of the events being held to mark for the opening of the United Nations General Assembly’s (UNGA) 78th session this week, will hold a “Peace Day Effort for Middle East Peace.” The organization thinks that it can somehow work on Mid-East peace without Israeli participation. The event, which was organized by Saudi Arabia, the Arab League, and EU, with Jordan and Egyptian participation, will not include any Israeli or Palestinian officials as none were invited.

The event is being held as reports indicate that Israel and Saudi Arabia are engaged in behind the scenes talks on the normalization of diplomatic ties. The possibility of such normalization is said to be more likely than ever before.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken stated on the podcast Pod Save the World, said: “[It was] clear from what we hear from the Saudis that if this process is to move forward, the Palestinian piece is going to be very important.”
“Normalization cannot be a substitute for Israel and the Palestinians resolving their differences and having a much better future for Palestinians and in our judgement, of course, that must – needs to involve a two-state solution,” added Blinken.

The United Nations states that it “cooperates” with regional and international partners in efforts to defuse tensions, encourage improvements on the ground, and advance political negotiations toward a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict as well as a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in the Middle East.

But last June, in a briefing given before the UN Security Council, UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process Tor Wennesland made comments that made it clear he is not impartial and blames Israel for the continuation of the conflict.
“The deepening [Israeli] occupation,” he said, “settlement expansion, the high levels of violence against civilians, including acts of terror, and, critically, the absence of a political horizon are rapidly eroding hope among Palestinians and Israelis, and particularly among youth, that a resolution of the conflict is achievable. I urge all leaders to put on the brakes and rethink the options…We must urgently act collectively to stop the violence.”

The 78th UN General Assembly will take place September 18 to 26 in New York.

Upon what scripture do you base this? Can you post the scripture that says a 7 year peace treaty between the Palestinians and the Israelis will kick off the final seven years?

1.Where does Daniel say that it is a peace agreement?

2. How exactly does one "confirm a peace agreement for seven years"?

3. Why are the"many" confirming this? If the US makes peace with the British, it is between the two countries, we don't need Russia, and Germany and Kenya to also confirm this.

The appropriate verse reference is "when they say peace and security", but conflating this with Daniel 9:27 brings in confusion.

According to him he says the negotiations on the status of Jerusalem will reach an impasse and therefore they will be postponed for seven years?

So let's get this straight, Israel is allowed to rebuild their magnificent temple in Jerusalem, but we haven't resolved the issue of Jerusalem yet, so we'll just postpone that for seven years? Am I the only one who sees this as idiotic?

There is a dispute over who owns the land, so we'll postpone resolving that for seven years, but in the meantime go ahead and build the mansion on it that you are planning on building? What idiot would do that?

He is focused on Daniel 9:27, so understand this, it is his interpretation of what "the covenant" is and he continually inserts his opinion that "the many" refers to Israel and Palestine.

He assumes the covenant that God made with Abraham is the covenant. That doesn't make sense, who is he to "confirm that covenant with the many"? That covenant was not made with the many, therefore it cannot be confirmed with the many.

However, the Noah covenant was made with the many and that covenant can be confirmed with the many. That covenant gives government the right and the responsibility to deal with murder. In other words, government is responsible to maintain peace and security.

This word "confirm" means "to strengthen". If you institute Martial Law you are strengthening governments responsibility and rights to maintain peace and security. Martial law is always instituted "temporarily". Whenever they institute Martial law it is always to deal with a crisis with the promise that once the crisis is over they will return you back to a more free society.

To institute Martial law for seven years is quite specific and this would be the first time such a thing has been done. Usually it is until the next election which is months away or it is a temporary shutdown until the pandemic abates. However, we have never had a worldwide institution of martial law. The closest we have come was during the Feast of Trumpets in 2020 when the world shut down their economy due to the pandemic. So we have seen a dress rehearsal for a worldwide implementation of martial law, however, no one said it would be for seven years.

Agenda 2030 presents climate change as a worldwide crisis. The UN wants to strengthen this agreement that was made in 2015, though if you want to look to the Bible you could say it is part of the covenant made with Noah to institute world government. They will strengthen it by implementing a digital currency that they control so they can force compliance with the agenda by controlling what every person on the planet can buy or sell.

There is no scriptural basis to assume that "the covenant" refers to the one God made with Abraham, on the contrary there is scriptural basis to say that it cannot possibly refer to that covenant. There is also no scriptural basis to interpret "the many" as Israel and Palestinians.

Upon review of Daniel 9:27 the Antichrist will confirm the covenant for one week meaning 7 years.

"And HE SHALL CONFIRM THE COVENANT WITH MANY FOR ONE WEEK, and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, (3 1/2 year point) and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate."
