yeah its really disheartening looking on my own walk with God. I can see how others would b able to discredit Jesus for many things i do. *sigh*
boy do I hear you on that... but every day is a day closer and a day better as we learn, fellowship and praise the Lord. I think of who I was a year ago and look forward to who I'll be next year. I've in the last year given up and been delivered totally of prejudice (rooted in my childhood), I'm still struggling with dealing with an aunt being sucked into a cult right now so this is really really difficult to respond in love & I truly need to do this & I've come to realize that on here, in these very forums... but for the grace of our Lord!!! I'm also needing advise on how to deal with my gay nephew and his partner both of whom I love DEARLY! Dare I quote Joyce Meyer on here where I will be rebuked for ever having viewed her program (takes tonque outa cheek)... I'm not where I need to be but I sure aint where I used to be. ALSO CMW I'm sure there many more times where people looked at you and said WOW I want what she got!! Jesus would say well done my good an faithful servant.

This quote is an eye opener if we allow it to be, sadly the world feels this way.
What do you think we as christians need to change to be a better witness for Christ? Im talking individually and or as a whole. Please lets not be mean spirited.

KPG2000,
YOU agree by your response "✓" to this c M's Wife.
So what do you think that a Christ rejecting false prophet who cheated on his own wife for years and had sex with his great niece and many others has to teach Christians?
What does this pervert offer" Christians individually and as a whole "that God left out of His Bible?

I'm waiting.

I look for Christ (His Holy Spirit) in my fellow humans/sinners.
If I look for faults, I will find plenty as you would find in me.

People who actually don’t want to repent and follow Christ can easily find an excuse.

And they may not have read the scriptures that say…..
“Let us go on unto perfection”

Yes there are plenty of hypocrites
Luke warm Christian’s
50% Christian 50% carnal

If we die and go to hell,
It’s actually our own fault.

Christians may fail us,
but ultimately each one of us has to give account for our life.

We cannot say that God’s children were not a good enough example for us to follow.

We cannot blame anyone.
Human nature points the finger.
Adam tried to blame Eve
Eve tried to blame the serpent.

Luke 18:13 KJV
And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner.

Yeah Magenta,
There's this new so called virtue that has been embraced by much of Christianity.

Sure there is plenty of hypocrisy in Christianity since none of us are without sin.
Like you, I don't think we should let wicked demonic philosophers be our guide.
The Hindu Gurus who teach others to worship devils/ demons, are the enemies of God. Yet some people push their unbiblical views by those that the world loves.

Dali 🦙 Llama is just one more example.

Great job with your post and ability to find it after all that time!
It seems like he had interest in the other newly married men staying celebrate while he slept with their wives.
He taught doctrines of devil's, I Timothy 4,
while indulging in what he told his followers to abstain from.

Here's another example on the subject.
How many people have we heard using the phrase, "don't drink the coolaid?"

Jude 1:7-8,10-13 KJV
Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.
[8] Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.
[10] But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
[11] Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
[12] These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
[13] Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.

David is telling us about King Saul, who would have been called a Christian in today’s world.
But he was disobedient to the Will of God.
Disobedient Christians are giving place to the devil.
Ephesians 4:27 KJV
Neither give place to the devil.

1 Samuel 15:26 KJV
And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel.

Psalm 55:1-23 KJV
Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.
[2] Attend unto me, and hear me: I mourn in my complaint, and make a noise;
[3] Because of the voice of the enemy, because of the oppression of the wicked: for they cast iniquity upon me, and in wrath they hate me.
[4] My heart is sore pained within me: and the terrors of death are fallen upon me.
[5] Fearfulness and trembling are come upon me, and horror hath overwhelmed me.
[6] And I said, Oh that I had wings like a dove! for then would I fly away, and be at rest.
[7] Lo, then would I wander far off, and remain in the wilderness. Selah.
[8] I would hasten my escape from the windy storm and tempest.
[9] Destroy, O Lord, and divide their tongues: for I have seen violence and strife in the city.
[10] Day and night they go about it upon the walls thereof: mischief also and sorrow are in the midst of it.
[11] Wickedness is in the midst thereof: deceit and guile depart not from her streets.
[12] For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:
[13] But it was thou, a man mine equal, my guide, and mine acquaintance.

[14] We took sweet counsel together, and walked unto the house of God in company.

[15] Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.
[16] As for me, I will call upon God; and the LORD shall save me.
[17] Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.
[18] He hath delivered my soul in peace from the battle that was against me: for there were many with me.

[19] God shall hear, and afflict them, even he that abideth of old. Selah. Because they have no changes, therefore they fear not God.

[20] He hath put forth his hands against such as be at peace with him: he hath broken his covenant.
[21] The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.

[22] Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

[23] But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.

If I were you I wouldn't listen to what Gandhi says. Sure, he was a leader. But He was a religious fanatic. Though he was straightforward in some ways. A good example is Gandhi's reaction to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar when Ambedkar asked for a separate Electorate for Dalits (Untouchables) at the round table conference in Britain. Gandhi went so far as to fast unto death to prevent this. This is recorded history. Not to say that Gandhi was entirely evil. But he was casteist nonetheless.

For that matter, if you take the history of most important men and women in the world, their private lives were scandalous too. All the American presidents and the Kings and Queens of European countries?

Gandhi was a leader who was instrumental to an extent as a leader who led our people to freedom. Despite his flaws.

But yeah. There is truth in what he said. The colonizers from Europe did treat my people like slaves. The British did a lot of good. They built hospitals. Educated the people. Treated the underprivileged more equal than the Brahminized upper castes of our country. But with that came a lot of bad too. Looting our country of it's wealth. And who were they? Christians of course. Don't tell me they weren't at that time and age. All practicing Christians. Raping our women. Killing our men without trial. This was not their land. Sending our Indian men to fight their wars. And if you look at all those war movies like Dunkirk, you will hardly find an Indian among those troops. Christians aren't free from hypocrisy too.

We just need to take the Christian vitamin...B1. Gandhi made a very good point. Christians are very judgemental and unloving at times, and do more to hinder than help the cause of Christ.

know that the way people interpret a statement can often be incorrect because they are applying what they "think" you said & not what's really being mentioned. most people respond incorrectly because of control, misinterpretation, attention, greed, lack of knowledge, selfishness, etc. from time to time, we all see it here on CC!

I appreciate your concern for me, but I have no problem with misinterpretation. I'll make the effort to clarify. It helps me to be more explicit the next time.

I had another thought on this. Regardless of another person's motives, God always intends good for his people. So rather than concerning ourselves with the intentions of others, we would better spend our time looking for God's good desire for us.

I can talk about it if I feel it is relevant and it is about my country. So, yeah. I will speak what I want to. A thread can be continued at any time.

You have conveniently left out so many others who continued the conversation long after it was over.
