You think there is any truth at all in the devil? fact is the world is his only by usurpation, he tricked the man.
Just to Clarify ---Satan deceived the woman ------then the woman herself talked her man Adam into eating the fruit -----the man could have saved the day if he had of refused his wife's offer to eat the fruit --as the man was the type of Christ and was the Captain of God's Paradise ship ------Eve was the equal helper and supporter of Adam -------

Satan in his craftiness knew who he could deceive and have influence over first --then he left it up to Eve to get the Captain to sink the ship -----Satan isn't stupid ----- he had no part in Adam's choice -----

If Satan was lying, Jesus surely would have said so. But he didn't.

Yes, in this instance Christ did not question his claim. That is because God does see him as the "god" of this world.

I can see how. After all, the devil has plenty of willing followers, sinners.

But as always, Jesus replied briefly the clear truth - go away Satan, for it is written, worship the Lord your God and serve only Him.
Having said that, the Devil went away.

I love Jesus's brevity. He never waffles on like we do. If we reject the Devil, he goes away. He will not force anyone to do anything. He doesn't really have to, so many other souls are so willing. If we follow Jesus, we have the ability to reject Satan.

If in Mathew 4 verses 8-10, Satan offered all the kingdoms to Jesus on condition that he worship him, I need a point cleared up.
One can only offer what one owns. So is Satan the owner? If so, why so?
Rev_11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

The kingdoms of the world have new owners at the 7th trump, not before that so it is possible that satan did own them. He is called the ruler of the world by Christ as well.
