I know that there are more eschatological views than I can think of. Here are the ones that I can think of, and therefore I reject.

Amillennialism.
Postmillennialism.
Premillennialism. This includes Dispensationalism.

What can we learn from each other and the Bible, without letting our Theology get in the way?
Those are all the available models and you reject them cause you can think of em lol. That aint too smart.

Read Revelation chapters 19 to 21, they flow together beautifully, its called PREMILLENNIALISM because Christ returns BEFORE (pre) the millennium

Premillennialism, which is definitely what I believe in, is also called chiliasm.

Rev 20:7

I was wondering... you post 2 Peter 3:8, which seems to show the 1000 years as metaphoric? But then post the only six verses in Revelation 20 and people see them as literal? That confuses me and hoping to understand why we should view the 1000 years in Rev. 20 as literal?

I do not believe that what Peter said was intended to be metaphoric.

Here is what he said:

2 Peter 3:8

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. "

For starters, Peter was here alluding to what had previously been written in the book of Psalms.

Psalm 90:4

"For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night."

More importantly, he did so because if we are ignorant of this reality, then we are almost certain to come away with a faulty understanding of what the Bible prophesies in many different places in relation to the coming "day of the Lord." In other words, the events which will ultimately transpire during the coming "day of the Lord" will not transpire within the timeframe of a literal 24 hour day. Instead, they will transpire over the course of a 1000 year period of time. Some of the events will transpire at the beginning of the 1000 years, some will transpire during the 1000 years, and some will transpire at the end of the 1000 years.

I do not have the time to get into this further right now because I need to head to work shortly, but I would be willing to discuss this further with you when I have the time to do so.

to understand the Bible correctly, we must free ourselves of what we think the Bible should say, what we want it to say, remove our needs, desires & interests & allow the Holy Spirit to teach us the Bible. John 16:13, John 14:26, 2nd Timothy 2:7, 15.
