I wrote this poem a few years back. Each short 'verse' is entitled to rejoice in the growing sense of the coming of God's kingdom, being progressively more "already" and less and less "not yet"
Poem starts here:
Rejoice O Theophilus!
Praise the one who lives and reigns on high!
For the Bridegroom has come,
worthy to receive His bride!
Rejoice O Jerusalem!
Praise the one who lives forevermore!
For His Kingdom has come,
Victorious in Jesus the Son!
Arise O Church of God!
Praise the who rose up from the grave!
For the Savior has come,
Conquering death in His name!
Rejoice O forgiven world!
The Holy One has claimed you as His own!
He is worthy of Praise,
The Lamb who is seated on His throne!!
Rejoice all Creation!
You shall know the joy that now is yours!
For the Earth is Redeemed
And the Church is now one with her LORD!!
