Goodness, has there not been a post here since Sept 25?

Are you guys still around? I know I haven't been but that's because of medical issues. I have had you regulars here on SYM in my prayers......

God bless you each and every one

Sooo, ALOT has happened lately. A flood hit in July, and I've been displaced ever since then. Spent 2 months at my brother's until I was finally able to get back into my bldg in late August. I'm in the apt above mine until it gets fixed and I can move back in. NO IDEA how long that will take.

Daddy died May 4. He was almost 92. One day he was fine, and 2 days later he was dead. He'd been in a nursing home for several months due to a series of falls he took. He was miserable and just wanted to go back home to Mom. Problem was, Mom has Alzheimer's and we finally had to put her in an assisted living facility. Once Daddy realized he had no home to go back to, he pretty much just gave up hope.

Mom has good days and bad days. She can't remember anything past 5 minutes. She says the same things a million times over. By the end of next year, her mind will be entirely gone.

Lastly, I had surgery for a cancerous mole on my leg. It took 3 months but it's finally filled in and healed over. :)

Happy God has been with you through these trials Bug......

I also have had many changes in my life since March. My health issues took a serious turn and that required me to move to OF ALL PLACES, Oklahoma. I now live with my Brother n Sister in Law just south of OK City.

Am just home (Thursday) from having work on my heart. The balloon thingy, and the rotor rooter thingy where they clean out the nasty stuff blocking my arteries, and having a stint put in. In a few months, I will have one more stint put in.

God has been so very good to me, and has carried me through some rough times as well.

Bless you Bug..............you are a dear Sister in Christ

We have also had a year of several trials and heartaches in my household.
But through all the heartaches and pain, through all the changes one thing remains the same...
He is still on the throne! And His word is true (Hebrews 13:5) "I will never leave you nor forsake you."
Through it all He has been right there with me.
Philippians talks about the "peace of God which passes all understanding"
I can honestly say that I have experienced that more this year than ever before (despite it being the hardest year ever in my life).

I had a dr's appt. today with my new GP. Turns out I have diabetes. Sad.png For now, my first approach to lowering my A1C is a diet change and increased exercise. I have to go back in 3 months and get blood taken again, and will be told whether I need to go on meds or not..
