Israel is putting most of their army around Gaza. We will have 2 aircraft carriers off their coast. So much fire power in a close place. I hope we see a miracle happen. Fire from heaven? Maybe?

Why do you assume that God is on Israel's side?

There are plenty of examples in scripture where God stirred up nations against Israel for corrective purposes.

What does that have to do with anything that I said?

Who do you think stirred up the Roman army which burned the temple in 70 A.D. during New Testament times?

The adversary of course.
There was no intercessor in the OT, thus God had to deal the way He did.
Now there is an an intercessor, if we have trouble down here, it is because people who claim Christ are not walking in His authority.
That you do not see this indicates to me an outward form of Godliness, we are either carnal Christians, or Spiritual Christians, we must be Spiritual Christians.
We all come to Him as we are, but we don't stay as we are.

God keeps His promises, they are still his chosen people, He was clear this last time He has brought them back they will never leave the Promised Land again.

Actually, we are His chosen people.

1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

We Gentiles were grafted in when His Own rejected Him.
That does not eliminate them from being the " apple of His eye".
He will continue to bless those who bless the Jews, and curse those who will curse the Jews.
The chicken hat, even as beautiful and as much as I would like one, will not protect .

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

As we listen to the war in Israel, please join me in praying for all involved.

Dear Heavenly Father, we pray that you will be with the hearts of all involved. That you will draw people to you at this time. Please guide the leaders in making the decisions. Please protect the innocent.

We pray for The Gideon Ministry in the Middle East. Please protect and guide Gideons and Auxiliary members in that area to share your love with those in need.

John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Serving The Lord with You,

Had God not been on Israel's side, it would not be in existence today. In the Six Day War of June 1967 all of Israel's neighboring countries joined together to destroy Israel. But instead Israel won a decisive victory and even captured the Gaza Strip. Had they been wise they would never have given it up. And because they capitulated a little they are now paying a huge price. But who helped Israel win against all odds? It was God Himself. Israel and Jerusalem are key components for the fulfillment of numerous Bible prophecies, not least of which is the return of Christ to the Mount of Olives and the redemption and restoration of Jerusalem and Israel.

IDK about holy fire from heaven; but those guys in Hamas are dead men walking; I have no doubt about that. It tends to upset people when you go on a thousand-man murder spree. I can't speak for God on the matter; but I really, really, really, really doubt he is going to show up on their side and protect them from what is about to happen. The innocent (if there be any) surviving the wrath to come: that would be the miracle.

As you have done it will be done unto you, I suspect that if you cut off baby heads you will see your own babies get killed, and if you shoot the elderly in their beds you will see your elderly die. People had a chance to receive the atoning blood of Jesus to be forgiven of their sins, but if they refuse the way of salvation they will be judged.

Islame selected one of the many daily "gods" worshipped in Saudi Arabia and elevated "alli" to the status of "allah" , so they are worshiping a demon and acting as a demon would act against the Created order and the Fathers chosen ones and we who are grafted in.

Isn't this the same as saying "Had God not been on the Rothschilds' side, they would not be around today"? We know even at the end there will be unbelievers, but that these will be here does not prove that God is somehow on their side. Perhaps they were just more evil and murdered everyone else?

"Replacement theology" taught the Jews were rejected and we are they, not so, that is a terrible lie foisted on many, get right, brother, the time is short.
with your current thinking, sounds like you will get left behind.
If you are not experiencing him now, you better get in relationship quick.:)(y)

You sound like you should brush up on your theology. Here, I'll give you a hand! :p

In John, we learn that some of those (including Jews) who claim Abraham as their father are really the devil's children. Jesus's words, not mine. Nothing about replacement there. We also learn that Abraham's children will do the works of Abraham - that is, believe on Jesus. So all those rejecting Jesus are equally damned, whether they think of themselves as Jews or Gentiles.

John 8:39-44
They [the Jews] answered and said unto him, Abraham is our father. Jesus saith unto them, If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham.
But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham.
Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

In Romans (in case we haven't learned it already), we learn that God looks at the heart. Not at which genealogy we claim, or our outward acts of "righteousness".

Romans 2:28-29 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Hopefully you will now understand my position is the same as that of scripture, and we are indeed God's chosen people - all of us who believe on Jesus - whether we believe ourselves to be Jews or Gentiles.

Why do you assume that God is on Israel's side?
Because many Jews are being saved (and have been saved) and there are many Christian ministries over there. At the same time God has intervened for unbelieving Israel in the past since Jerusalem and Israel (all of Palestine) are all in God's plan of redemption. Christ will return to the Mount of Olives and deliver Jerusalem in the future. God gave greater Israel to the twelve tribes through Abraham. That promise will be ultimately fulfilled. There will be a redeemed and restored Israel with only believing Jews from the twelve tribes. It is all there in Scripture. This does not impact on the Church but runs parallel.

Also in Romans 11 God says that Christ will deliver Israel and redeem and restore it. This is still in the future.

At the same time God has intervened for unbelieving Israel in the past since Jerusalem and Israel (all of Palestine) is all in God's plan of redemption. Christ will return to the Mount of Olives and deliver Jerusalem in the future.
...and God has also brought judgment upon Israel/Jerusalem time and time again.

Also, prior to Christ's return, the Jews will enter into a false peace treaty out of which will come a rebuilt temple and restored sacrifices which are a blatant denial of Christ's atonement. Furthermore, the antichrist will sit in that temple prior to Christ's second coming.

Do you believe that God is for these types of things?

Anyhow, my question was "Why do you assume that God is on Israel's side?", and I was talking about this particular conflict, and not in general.

I understand Israel's/Jerusalem's part in God's redemptive plan, but that will not really be fulfilled until Christ returns to take his rightful seat upon the throne of David. Until that day comes, there will be many things that Israel/Jerusalem does which will provoke God to anger.

From what I have seen here (on this website, and not just on this thread), you are the one with an outward form of godliness and an over-inflated opinion of yourself.

Thanks for the laugh, though.
