Word of Faithers always have scriptural justification for their positive confessions: Health, wealth, whatever it is, they can produce some scripture they think tells them they're entitled.

Faith comes through hearing which the spoken word is of course part of that but hardly the same as being like God as in our words carry the same power to speak things into existence or to not speak of an illness and therefore not claiming it as reality it will supernaturally go away.
RABBIT TRAIL - Nobody's saying that SPEAKING A WORD IN FAITH (given to you by God) is the same as "Being like God".

When you Speak IN FAITH the word THAT GOD HAS GIVEN YOU, then it's simply GOD'S POWER working through as HIS agent for the moment.

Your "Not claiming it as reality" sounds like "Christian Science" garbage.

But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts? For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins”—then He said to the paralytic, “Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.”
7And he arose and departed to his house.
8Now when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such power to men.

The origin of our words matter.

If we are sent by God to speak a word of healing over someone then that person will be healed. It is not our words that healed him, but the words we received from our Father to speak.

This is only true within those who are led by the Spirit of God. Fakers cite diverse scriptures claiming that "Because said thus and such we can proclaim it as true". That's not how the Word works. Knowing what the Spirit is saying in the moment is required. Otherwise, as some have pointed out, the fakers should be goaded into speaking a universe into existence.

"...when the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you into all truth. For He will not speak on His own, but He will speak what He hears, and He will declare to you what is to come. He will glorify Me by taking from what is Mine and disclosing it to you. Everything that belongs to the Father is Mine. That is why I said that the Spirit will take from what is Mine and disclose it to you."

The order is The Father to the Lord to the Spirit to one led by the Spirit.

Peter understood this, as did the other disciples. He spoke what was given to him and a man was healed.

"Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” 7 Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong."

In conclusion: if our words have any power it because they originated from the Lord and were given to us from the Spirit. If our words originated from us they have no power from God.

"But I tell you that men will give an account on the day of judgment for every careless word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

There are many "preachers" today who are storing up shelves of condemnation for themselves.

So basically prayer? To speak a word of healing in prayer? Where we ask God to heal? Or do we claim it?

A lot of Word of Faithers think they have supernatural powers. For example, some think they can control the weather. Why do they think that? Because Christ spoke the word of course and calmed the storm. Some think they can rebuke illnesses and evil spirits; again, because Christ did it with His words. Kenneth Copeland's COVID rebuke fiasco is a prime example of this. I'm quite sure he thought God was speaking to him and telling him to do it. Some even think they can raise the dead. Christ and the apostles spoke and raised the dead, so if God tells them to rise the dead, hey, why not.

John 14:11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.

Agreed. It should make people doubt that these people hear from God. If God said it, then it will occur.

What are the greater works?

You're supposedly so on fire for God and busy doing work for him, but you don't know what this verse means??? I'm just really surprised that you asked this question.

It's in the Bible which I know you study a lot. What do YOU think it means?

One SPEAKS IN FAITH what ever he hears from the Holy Spirit. The Gifts are HIS, and he distributed them AS HE WILLS. If you don't know what to speak, then you have nothing.

Prayer? Not necessarily. Although healing can certainly come by prayer.

We cannot proclaim what we are not given to speak. As I said, many "preachers" proclaim all kinds of things, even scripture, but they speak in their own power.

If we are sent by God to speak a word of healing over someone ("You are healed") then they will be healed. If we are sent to speak it-we should not couch it in prayer. The Spirit will let us know how to approach each unique matter.

Gal 3:5 speaks of "the one that does miracles among you" (imagine assuming that there was someone that "does miracles" in the church), and indicates that it's done by "The hearing of FAITH". Romans 10:17 tells you how "Faith Cometh" - by HEARING and hearing by the Word of God.

Bottom line - when the Holy Spirit TELLS YOU to do/speak something, then that's what you do. If you have no idea what to do, then DON'T DO ANYTHING.

Plenty of Biblical examples. God can use anybody HE chooses to do whatever HE wants to do. It could be as simple as speaking a Word from Him to somebody, or as serious as raising the dead.

If you DON'T KNOW (as a result of the Holy Spirit inspiring you) what to do, then there's nothing you can do. Simple as that. GOD has the power, you don't.

I also remember that not everyone has this gift:

1 Corinthians 12:4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

So these people who don't believe in this obviously don't have this gift. They don't understand so we should just be patient with them.

I have to admit that its in times like this I feel better about my self and yet I catch that and stop it. Copeland, Oral Roberts, David Wilkerson etc are each that I thought were wrong in something and I went to them. Now some just a email some on the phone yet I went to them. See if GOD is part of it He will open all the doors. So go for it some of you here attacking His kids you know your right so if they are in such error reach out to them. Yeah you won't and then you will never talk to them. I am not better but my heart was not to make fun of them I just truly wanted to know. Each time .. oh with Wilkerson I was so wrong praise GOD.. He talked to me. See I love them not out to hurt them.. I sit here from my heart ..there is not one I would every call out to just hurt..yet some of you do just that.

Proof? How many times do those WORD OF FAITH have to say video after video for YEARS NOW "name it and claim it we got it wrong and repented" Yet they took on more then they ever said yet said sorry and look at some of you that LOVE JESUS will not do a simple search. You don't care own it.

I saw this "prophet" on another show some have went after yet so many have come to Christ through that minister (Christ is the one he gives all glory to NOT WORD OF FIATH yet you make fun him). So this prophet at the end of the show was saying if you give $85 God will protect your family. Now if you give right now He will protect you children from being shot". Said long time ago. So for me this is wrong. What would you do? Well not what I did because it was not about me so I again to him..just love love love. Always praying still for him. I just knew before that it would not last long. Oh he as everywhere yet not any more. Still love him praying for him never ever against.

Some are mad because you don't love first you don't see the good in each. Some if not all have never looked in what they do for Christ yet Christ knows but you don't? And you love them like Christ loves you? No and they are not even the enemy. Its talk like this that stops the sweet sweet holy Spirit. And until we repent and get it right it will always be between us and God. Then when He does tell you...you won't listen because it never came to you the way you expected it.

Seeing people through His eyes and then seeing only one persons heart...I can never look at people the same. I have so so so many times judged others and.. oh and He never said a word. I was so wrong. I never knew never understood the flesh and look one way but the heart? It can be 100% the other way. Meaning one way for the world the heart 100% for God. At that time I had never in my life just wanted to LOVE someone. I never wanted anything ever from them. If they hated me for the rest of my life. ..oh to just love them do what they wanted.. was a gift was.....getting the greatest treasure. yeah.. THAT's Christ loving us! Now granted it only latest about 20-30 seconds yet it was hours days just ...OH I WANT THAT BACK SO BAD! I judge so fast I look at the bad side.. its such a fight yet in that moment... all I wanted was to love them.. give that away and NEVER EVER want anything from them.

Truth? I only speak what I know no more no less. Most of this is not of God its flesh. If you have the holy Spirit in you and you won't listen to Him.. then all this will just upset you more for that forgive me not here to offend. I just remember when THOSE you go after have said sorry. And freely make the choice to freely forgive them and when they or you miss it I pray FOR YOU not what I believe but for you.. just good helpful uplifting.

Father forgive us...as I have always all my life prayed help me to be more like you.

WOF'ers are idiots.
Words, do not have Healing Power.
the NAME, [of Yeshua of Nazareth], is what has Power.
and it is having FAITH.......in.......the NAME.......of .......Yeshua of Nazareth, that heals.

until you believe in the [[[NAME]]] of Yeshua of Nazareth, no Healing will be done.

but, if you absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, BELIEVE, in the NAME of Yeshua of Nazareth, you can say to the sick, "Be Healed, in the Name of Yeshua of Nazareth." and they will be Healed!

Do our words carry the same power as God?
ONLY when the Holy Spirit leads you to do it.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
The Holy Spirit must do the leading & give the words to say, then it will happen.
