ONLY when the Holy Spirit leads you to do it.
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.
The Holy Spirit must do the leading & give the words to say, then it will happen.
2Peter 1:20But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture becomes a matter of someone’s own interpretation, 21for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

Faith isn't speaking it's doing. I've seen people healed but first you gotta be right with God. Kinda like Jesus said to leave your gift at the altar and reconcile your problems first. I've had to forgive people before answered prayer before. If we stay in tune with God then the impossible is possible. Be sure you give God the credit.

If our Words are God's Words, then... certainly. Our purpose is to do this very thing. His Word shall never fail.

You're supposedly so on fire for God and busy doing work for him, but you don't know what this verse means??? I'm just really surprised that you asked this question.

It's in the Bible which I know you study a lot. What do YOU think it means?

People have different interpretations so I ask you eliminate assumption. It is more responsible than assuming their position.

One SPEAKS IN FAITH what ever he hears from the Holy Spirit. The Gifts are HIS, and he distributed them AS HE WILLS. If you don't know what to speak, then you have nothing.
Do you have examples though?

Prayer? Not necessarily. Although healing can certainly come by prayer.

We cannot proclaim what we are not given to speak. As I said, many "preachers" proclaim all kinds of things, even scripture, but they speak in their own power.

If we are sent by God to speak a word of healing over someone ("You are healed") then they will be healed. If we are sent to speak it-we should not couch it in prayer. The Spirit will let us know how to approach each unique matter.
What happens if they are not healed? Did the one hear wrong? Speak wrong? Or not enough faith?

Gal 3:5 speaks of "the one that does miracles among you" (imagine assuming that there was someone that "does miracles" in the church), and indicates that it's done by "The hearing of FAITH". Romans 10:17 tells you how "Faith Cometh" - by HEARING and hearing by the Word of God.

Bottom line - when the Holy Spirit TELLS YOU to do/speak something, then that's what you do. If you have no idea what to do, then DON'T DO ANYTHING.

Plenty of Biblical examples. God can use anybody HE chooses to do whatever HE wants to do. It could be as simple as speaking a Word from Him to somebody, or as serious as raising the dead.

If you DON'T KNOW (as a result of the Holy Spirit inspiring you) what to do, then there's nothing you can do. Simple as that. GOD has the power, you don't.
You must forgive my doubt because many claim to be operating in the Spirit and so often nothing occurs. Not that I am a signs and wonders seeker but I do not see greater miracles than Jesus. Has anyone been raised from death after multiple days? A hurricane completely stilled? Why all the parade and dance to deliver a demon if Jesus simply said be gone? Why do people who are supposedly healed get sick again soon after?

But I agree God has the power and can operate in whom and when he wants. But even magicians could copy some of Mose's warnings. We must have better discernment. I don't know if people here follow the teachings in the OP but if they take the power of words to the depths of the OP then they are in error.

I also remember that not everyone has this gift:

1 Corinthians 12:4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.

7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines.

So these people who don't believe in this obviously don't have this gift. They don't understand so we should just be patient with them.

Define miraculous powers. Which translation? How is it defined in Greek? What kind of power is being spoken of?

So that makes this person like God? But the kicker is Spirit led? So what we hear from the WOF and Name it claim it ideologies who also claim to be Spirit led are these Biblically accurate teachings?

If someone speaks ”You are healed” over someone and they are not healed then they were not speaking a word of the Lord.

Tell me about it!! Victor Wierwille (The WAY international) for only $400 BACK IN 1975, WHOULD teach you how to Speak in Tongues, interpret tongues, and Prophesy on cue. He also taught that what you do in the body, had no effect on your "Spiritual Condition". Those folks knew how to party down!!! And HE was a Doctor of Theology!!!

Bottom line: What a person CLAIMS + $3.59 will get you a large coffee at McDonald's, but nothing else 99 times out of 100.

I do not see greater miracles than Jesus.
Bear in mind that the early church got rid of their possessions, and lived together having everything in common, so motivated were they to GET THE WORD OUT.

We expect to see the same miracles, when we spend two hours together, and complain about the color of the walls in the sanctuary???

Miracles tend to happen in the "Field" where there no UberEats, and the nearest hospital is a day away.

We must have better discernment.
Or maybe any "discernment" at all.

Chuckle: REAL QUESTION: "do you have any example that I'd take seriously??"

Probably not, but HEY!! one of our friends up in Lewisville, TX was crippled, and when Oral told him to touch the top of his TV, and he'd be healed. He did, and he was.

And there was the AG missionary about a decade ago, whose young daughter wandered into the lake behind their house and drowned. they found her because the local kids were throwing rocks at a "ball" floating in the water, that turned out to be her head. They asked God to restore her, and He did.

Or the sister of the Gal in the Celina, Ohio AG church who was demonized, and due to be institutionalized, since she couldn't fuinction any longer. The Pastor, and the church member went to her house, and cast the demonic spirit out, the sister was instantly, and when I asked about her 12 years later, still was.

I've been in the AG for most of the last 55 years, so I've heard quite a few "examples" along the way.

I'm afraid you're correct about WOF'ers claiming these teachings.
But... that doesn't make these teachings any less correct.
So many throw out the baby(true doctrine) with the bathwater (WOF'ers) just because someone misuses scripture.
You DO realize if we did that every time someone misused scripture, we would have nothing left to read?

Why not investigate this for yourself because that's what I would do? I'd rather find out from God myself, and not just take someone else's word for it. It's in the Bible so I asked God to show me in my own life, and He did. He will do the same for you if you let Him.

I guess I'm hesitant to say anything about them because they are things you would need to see for yourself. If the Bible includes miracles, you should leave room for God to do them in your life as well.

My old church made much of these same claims but never had evidence to back them up. I asked for medical documentation to rule out natural causes and they would never provide it.

But I do believe in healings I just believe many are fake within the health and wealth crowd.

Now the Assemblies of God has a weird history and a lot of modern controversy of heresy as well.

All pointing back to the Azusa Street revival that has led to many false teachings including a Christian having a demon.

Modern scandals of Hillsong and it's 35 year association to AG or Bethal of 51 years of association. It seems when scandals get to a peak they are forced to leave the denomination.

May 12, 2022 Officials at a small Pentecostal church in San Jose, California, confirmed that a 3-year-old girl died within their walls last September after undergoing a botched exorcism, bringing a renewed spotlight on the practice of expelling demons from individuals believed to be possessed. https://www.christianpost.com/news/after-girl-dies-in-botched-exorcism-ritual-takes-spotlight.html

It is a theological ideology fixated on power. That some how power (signs and wonders) is what makes the gospel affective.

With so much fake testimonies and false teachings I left the Charismatic church. Sure some may be real but I'd prefer to drain the waste water and keep the baby. So I went somewhere gospel focused.

But I understand the seeking of higher power because dominionism demands it to bring Christ's Kingdom on Earth through subjecting the 7 mountains of Seven Mountain theology.

Your assuming I haven't already studied it. I'm asking you to gain your understanding and to see how much you have studied the topic of each question. You made the claim so I ask you to explain your reasoning.

Misused one scripture? The whole theology of WOF or Name it Claim it is unbiblical by official doctrinal statements made by the leaders or past leaders of these movements.

Sure if you look you may find something biblical but if 90% is error then id rather just find a different church.
