Hubby sent me this link last night...

But it's all a lie, right? You and Moses, HisH, won't believe it because it's coming from a Jew. But you sure would be on here posting if Hamas had something like that.

BTW Mo, gonna nickname you Red X Mo. You need the red hat again, it's all you do is throw red xs like darts yet never say why you are constantly doing it. Red X Mo, my new name for you.
It's true that two things can be true. Hamas is a terroristic group that does things typical of a terrorist. It's also true that Israel could be terroristic things which are crimes against humanity. As for not believing it "because it's coming from a Jew", you must think very low of me to consider someone's ethnicity before believing what they have to say. No one race has a monopoly on deceit or telling the truth.

Sadly, the average American would have a difficult time telling you the 3 branches of government. I don't think they knew about 90% of the things she listed. For those who do keep up with politics and current events, I don't think it would be fair to paint them as if they are hypocrites and weren't outraged by it. How would they know?

If people did want to watch a documentary on the Syrian civil war, I recommend watching HBO's Cries from Syria. It is less on history of the conflict but more on the day-to-day life of Syrians during the war. Those poor kids just want to live while our kids are being taught 5 million different genders.

It is interesting to note that she asks where were people when al-Asad was using chemical weapons on his own people... She is comparing al-Asad and his government to Israel/US by doing so. I just hope we didn't give al-Asad billions upon billions of dollars to commit these war crimes on his own people. I wouldn't be surprised if we did actually.

Cries from Syria <--- IMDB of Documentary

I believe it talks about the completion of the end of Daniel's prophecy (destruction of Jerusalem), but also the end times (coming of the Son of Man). It's a bit messy (as to how some parts can refer to the end of Jerusalem, and some parts the end times, but that's the best I can come up with). The interpretation of Daniel's prophecy ending in 70AD is very satisfying - everything makes sense. I can't do that with Revelation - there are parts that don't add up and don't give me the same feeling of fulfillment (ergo I conclude its still to occur).
If you allowed access to your profile I would provide resources that deal with these outstanding pieces you have, I am thankful your eyes have been opened and the rest can fall into place.

Sorry but I have not read one word of truth on this subject yet from you, but John Hagee would be proud.

You even put an indifferent emoji on the death toll in Gaza (which included children, babies)

I find it very telling, how those who ascribe to "newspaper eschatology" have very hardened hearts to human suffering when it is not their team.
And again... indifference.

You know I didn't want to steal Max's thunder, but he PMed me with some facts that I have yet to see anyone arguing the other side of this bring up. I don't thin he would mind if I posted them now.

If you look up the actual lists and definitions of war crimes, recognized by the U.N., you find some interesting things.

1. Using human shields is a war crime (such as putting rockets or combatants in hospitals, schools, apartments, etc)
- So uh.... like every single thing Hamas does, all day long, is a war crime.

2. Intentionally targeting civilians, like Hamas did... is a war crime.

3. Taking civilian hostages, like Hamas did... is a war crime.

4. Attacking a Military target, such as a hamas base, or a munitions base, is NOT a war crime.

5. Injuring Civilians when attacking a military target, is NOT a war crime. The U.N. even says so.

6. Once you place combatants or munitions into a civilian building, it becomes a military target, and it's fair game to be attacked... it is now a military target, and not a war crime.

Conclusion:
Although Israel has not been filled with compassion and warm fuzzies lately, it does seem that Hamas committed all the war crimes, and Israel has been following international law.

However, to the best of my understanding, in ALL MODERN WARS we find both sides accusing each other of war crimes. That's just part of war. How the game is played.

Thanks Maxwell for the research you did for that post. So as I said, why aren't you all talking about those crimes Smoke??

How do you do this? Is it a screen shot?
Yes. I had to shrink the page of one a little bit in order to get the pertinent part of the quoted posts'
content in the screenshot. I did it that way rather than another way where I could have overlaid the
reactions' bit separately, but then I could have been accused of altering the shot, and I did not want
that as a possibility. I use photoshop, same as for all my Scripture panels from the last five years...
.:)

It is ridiculous to think that the children dying in Gaza are collateral damage or that they are human shields.
Hmmm... our resident self-proclaimed expert seems to disagree.

That list seems very accurate about Hamas. I will go a step further and say I would rather be under Israeli rule than Hamas rule. Very easy to state this. Perhaps my point isn't coming across as clearly as I am hoping. Pointing out terroristic things Hamas does, DOES NOT MEAN that Israel isn't also committing war crimes.

If you trust Maxwell, ask him if he believes it's an international war crime to settle on occupied land in the West Bank and East Jerusalem. Ask him if Israel is in fact occupying those two territories and settling Israelis there.

We can dispute Israel's "right to self-defense" by blowing up more Palestinian children than Hamas terrorists. One could potentially make a legal justification for doing so. I cannot see a potential moral case for it personally though. Even the families of the kidnapped Israeli's are saying this looks more like revenge than "self-defense". Nevertheless, there is a discussion to be had on these alleged war crimes, but there is absolutely no legal justification to be occupying the West Bank and East Jerusalem and settling on foreign land.

I think coming to an agreement that Israel is committing war crimes when it comes to this singular point would be the first major steppingstone. This would also require acknowledging that no state (including the US) recognizes Israel's sovereignty over those territories.

You should call those people out by name who have stated using civilians as human-shields is not a war crime. Who believes it's not a war crime to do so?

The human-shields are victims of Hamas and indiscriminate Israeli attacks.

Wait, what?

How are they indiscriminate?

Israel drops leaflets. Gives knock-knocks and secures safe passageways for those who need to evacuate from the North of Gaza to the South. Hamas shot civilians trying to flee the North when humanitarian corridors were opened. Women, Men and children. Israel had to roll in with tanks, clear out Hamas, and secure the road so civilians could flee!

Explain how Israel is indiscriminate?

Why do you call them indiscriminate attacks when Hamas is the target? I get that you abhor civilians dying. Hamas deliberately uses them as shields to garner your sympathy and support. Meanwhile we have some saying it is ridiculous that children are being used as human shields when the evidence overwhelmingly shows it to be a fact that Hamas uses civilians as shields (which is a war crime).

You sort of explained some of it already. The terrorists (Hamas) try to prevent civilians from leaving. If reports are true, Hamas has shot at them... Then the ones who are able to go south have been blown up going down the route they said would be safe. It's damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Indiscriminate in the sense that the attacks are launched irrelevant to civilians being in or around the area of their supposed target (Hamas). We already established Israel wouldn't be doing this if Hamas was hiding within Israel because they would actually care about their own civilians. Since these civilians are foreign to them, they are free to indiscriminately blow them up so long as their target is "Hamas".

Refer to my post above about the indiscriminate attacks.

My apologies for distracting you from my question though. Who here has said it's not a war crime to use Palestinian civilians as human-sheilds?

I don't suppose that Israelis would harbor Hamas within their community?

I would have hoped that comprehension would be better... since the post quoted clearly states that it is ridiculous to think that the children dying in Gaza are collateral damage or that they are human shields. If they are not human shields then no war crime is committed. Unfortunately they ARE being used as human shields despite our self-proclaimed expert disagreeing.
