I know that it is a place God chose for His people to dwell in. But what are God's thoughts of Israel today? I have read that when Israel disobeyed God, they fell into the hands of enemies in the OT. Yet, now is the time of AD and Jesus, His Son came to earth and He was crucified there and there were Jews who didn't believe and perhaps Jews who are there who do not believe in the Son. Now, the Jews who did not believe are perhaps waiting for the Messiah still who has already arrived. And so, I do not know how many of them are still in the land of Israel and so I am confused right now. I know the land is the land God chose and Jerusalem. I have read about it all. I know He protects the land. But what is His standing with the people within the land right now, this moment? What are they to do, repent? What are they to do, trust the God who led them out of Egypt would fight for them? Perhaps I am asking about the people and their faith in Jesus, the people who are currently living in Israel. So the land is chosen, but what about the people in it..aren't they supposed to know about the Son now? So what is happening actually?
What is God's will behind this? The reason He who does not slumber in protecting Israel allowed what is being called the biggest failure of Israeli military but we know God is the One who protects and 'unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain'. I have heard about the 'abomination of desolation'. I am thinking it has something to do with an enemy being in Israel but please correct me, I have to study more about it. I do think about it but then I read that there have been wars every now and then in Israel. But I want to know whether what happened this time was the biggest of its kind between Palestine and Israel or of more significance in some way.

A Jewish person cannot get to Heaven unless they accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior... just like any other person.

They are still God's chosen people since God promised Abraham that He would bless Abraham's descendants. This doesn't mean they are in right standing with the Lord since as a nation they teach that Jesus is not the Messiah

On the other hand, it's obvious the Lord has blessed and protected Israel in modern times. God's Word says we should pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6)

God however is keeping them alive as a nation..
This is true in spite of their spiritual condition. The Orthodox Jews do pray to God, but ignore Christ. There are also many Messianic or saved Jews in Israel. Yet God has protected and preserved the nation in spite of their sins and rebellion. He is doing this for His glory and for the future of that land and particularly Jerusalem. Christ will return to Jerusalem (Zion).

Act 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
Act 1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Eze 39:21 And I will set my glory among the heathen, and all the heathen shall see my judgment that I have executed, and my hand that I have laid upon them.
Eze 39:22 So the house of Israel shall know that I am the LORD their God from that day and forward.
Eze 39:23 And the heathen shall know that the house of Israel went into captivity for their iniquity: because they trespassed against me, therefore hid I my face from them, and gave them into the hand of their enemies: so fell they all by the sword.
Eze 39:24 According to their uncleanness and according to their transgressions have I done unto them, and hid my face from them.

Eze 39:25 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;
Eze 39:26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid.
Eze 39:27 When I have brought them again from the people, and gathered them out of their enemies' lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations;
Eze 39:28 Then shall they know that I am the LORD their God, which caused them to be led into captivity among the heathen: but I have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there.
Eze 39:29 Neither will I hide my face any more from them: for I have poured out my spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord GOD.

Rom 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Rom 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Rom 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Rom 11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
Rom 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

God is going to bring the whole house of Israel back to their land, and leave none of them in the nations anymore, and they will know the LORD their God from that time forward, and He will never hide His face from them again, which means they will always be in the truth concerning the nation of Israel.

It is here, the time of the end, and it is all going to go down, and there is nations pushing for it to happen, and want the conflict with the Jews and Arabs to be terrible for they want a one world government.

With all the commotion in Israel and it will get worse the antichrist will negotiate peace in the Middle East, and the nations will come together to work for peace on Earth, and the world will split in to 10 sections with a leader in each section who will be in league with the antichrist who is the New Age Christ who will push the agenda of the new age movement which he will think to change times and laws.

There will be a 7 years peace treaty between Israel and the Arabs, and it will pave the way for all Hebrews to go to Israel for the Gentile nations will see that it happens, and the antichrist wants them all back on their land, but God means it for good to the Hebrews.

God will eventually restore the kingdom on Earth to Israel.

Isa 31:4 For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be afraid of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof.
Isa 31:5 As birds flying, so will the LORD of hosts defend Jerusalem; defending also he will deliver it; and passing over he will preserve it.

1967 the 6 day war which Israeli jet pilots paved the way to win the war like birds flying, and took control of all of Jerusalem.

Zec 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
Zec 12:2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.
Zec 12:3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

Zec 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee.
Zec 14:2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.
Zec 14:3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.
Zec 14:4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south.
Zec 14:5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah:

and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

The battle of Armageddon when the antichrist and the world goes against Jerusalem, the Hebrews, and Jesus defeats the world, and saves the Hebrews, and the kingdom on Earth is restored to them.

The battle of Armageddon when the antichrist and the world goes against Jerusalem, the Hebrews, and Jesus defeats the world, and saves the Hebrews, and the kingdom on Earth is restored to them.

This was very useful. Today many countries are going against Israel joining hand in hand. Yet, I sometimes think about Jesus's words - And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. (NKJV)

Yet, today I am seeing many against Israel. I am seeing videos after videos of people supporting Palestine and against Israel. Sometimes I wonder if the anti-christ are the Arabs and Islam. They deny Jesus is the Son of God right? But then I read this -
and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world. 1John4:3

I think Paul says it best

Rom 11 25 For I do not desire, brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. 26 And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written:

“The Deliverer will come out of Zion,
And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob;
27 For this is My covenant with them,
When I take away their sins.”

28 Concerning the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the sake of the fathers. 29 For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

No, the descendants of Abraham are the Jewish people.

You should start a study of Abraham... the guy God said was His friend.

And watch out for those that talk trash about Abraham and his decendants because they are speaking from satan's point of view not from God's.

Hi!

Once upon a time there were born twin brothers. The oldest was a wild man, hunter, and warrior. The youngest was a gentle homebody. One day the oldest sold his birthright to his younger brother for the pleasure of the flesh (his belly). That birthright was to strive with The Almighty as The Promised Seed. Angered by this rejection, The Almighty rejected the oldest using the strongest language one could use; saying He HATES the oldest. The birthright of "Israel" (meaning "one who strives with God") was now the youngest's birthright.

However...

The youngest, spurred on by his mother, committed sin to take the birthright from the oldest. He lied and pretended to be his twin brother to receive the words of blessing from their father (a prophet of The Almighty). The father blesses the youngest.

Genesis 27:27-29
May God give you heaven’s dew
and earth’s richness
an abundance of grain and new wine.
29 May nations serve you
and peoples bow down to you.
Be lord over your brothers,
and may the sons of your mother bow down to you.
May those who curse you be cursed
and
those who bless you be blessed

Realizing he's been deceived, the father then blessed the oldest:

Genesis 27:39-40
Behold, thy dwelling shall be the richness of the earth,
and of the dew of heaven from above;

40 And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother;
and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion,
that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.

----

Points to consider:

1. Both are twins and with careful disguising, one can look like the other.
2. The oldest feels the birthright (of "Israel") is rightfully his
3. This anger passed down from generation to generation to the oldest's descendants
4. The birthright and blessing were rightfully the youngest but he committed the sin of bearing false witness to receive it
5. All sin must be answered for ("eye for an eye").
6. Both blessings from their father are similar in some ways but different in others
7. The words of a prophet MUST come to pass.

Scripture proves how all of the above is and must be reconciled:

1. As long as the children of Israel behaved like "Israel" (i.e. "striving with God") Isaac's blessing to Jacob was fulfilled:
- Edomites served children of Israel
- Nations feared the kingdom of Israel
- They had the richness of the earth
- Israel led the nations
- When nations attempted to curse them those nations were cursed
- But Israel was required to maintain the covenant to maintain their inheritance (riches, land, blessings)

2. Whenever the children of Israel behaved like "Jacob" (i.e. supplanter) or broke covenant, Isaac's blessing to Esau was fulfilled:
- Edomites received the dominion by masquerading as Israel (bearing false witness; "eye for an eye")
- Edomites broke free of Israel's yoke
- Edomites must constantly war to maintain possession of Israel's inheritance (riches, land, blessings)
- Meanwhile, the children of Israel served the nations
- The nations received riches at the cost of the children of Israel

This is why King Herod and his family were in charge during the time of the gospels. The gospels record that Herod and his family were Idumeans (i.e., Edomites; descendants of Esau) who seized power over Judea. The Edomites were allowed to remain in the land when the children of Israel were sent away to slavery. And because they were servants of the temple they retained knowledge of the temple service, eventually becoming also the Pharisees and religious leaders of Messiah's day.

So Edomites became the ruling class over the Jews (both the royalty and religious leadership), claiming to be Jews themselves - through conversion to a religion created by the Pharisees - but they are not Jews by descent (just like Messiah said).

----

When the Messiah pronounced final judgment on the children of Israel for rejecting Him He said, the people would be scattered to the nations and Jerusalem would be trampled by the Gentiles until the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled...and that this would be the judgment that was written in the scripture that was to fall on the children of Israel until they blessed Him and acknowledged their offense. Only then would Messiah regather them from the four corners of the world. Meanwhile, Jerusalem would be a burdensome stone for anyone who attempted to claim it.

Thus the current conflict is not between Israel and Palestine but between Edom and Palestine. The land has never seen peace since the so-called "state of Israel" claimed statehood. They must continue to war to maintain power and riches of the land in fulfillment of Isaac's blessing to Esau to "live by the sword". There will never be peace in the land as long as they're there, not until the true children of Israel return to it, being led by the Messiah once He returns to gather all of His believers.

Read Obadiah 1 for the prophecy that will fall on Edom in the end times.

Blessings!

My understanding is based on Ezekiel and Leviticus. According to Ezekiel Israel (the northern ten tribes) would be punished for a certain period of time and Judah would be punished for a different period of time. According to Leviticus if you don't repent after the punishment is over then it is increased 7 fold, and if you don't repent at that time either then it is increased 7 fold again.

Ezekiel then says that the two sticks, Judah and Israel would be joined as one.

When you look at the time periods there was only one year in human history when both Judah and Israel would return at the same year and that was 1948 after having the time out multiplied by 7 and then by 7 again.

However, they have returned as unbelievers. They are trying their best to live in Israel with all their strength, all their might, all their mind. But you can't do it and this is what God will show them. They can only live in that land if they are one with God. So we will see this situation get worse and worse until Israel has no other hope but to call on the name of the Lord.

The Land belongs to God, He gets to decide who gets it and the fact that Israel is sinful is not a valid reason to say they can't receive that land from God. If that was a valid complaint then what nation would have the right to live on Earth? They are all sinful.

Thank you. Are everyone who are living there today descendants of Abraham?
Romans 4:13-17
For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:

Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,
(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,)
before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were

But I want to know whether what happened this time was the biggest of its kind between Palestine and Israel or of more significance in some way.
God made an unconditional and everlasting covenant with Abraham. The land was one of the promises. It has yet to be fulfilled. Some here will tell you it has but if you read the borders of the land that God promised, it has not happened yet. God chose a people and in Romans 11 it says that His call is irrevocable. Right now the Jews are wandering in blindness. But God will restore them to the land He promised them.

The important question now is, what is it that Israel is searching for underground and has not found yet?

< 1.9% of Israelis are presently God's chosen people. .< 6% of Palestinians are presently God's chosen people. < 0.06% of Yemenis are presently God's chosen people. <10% of Syrians are presently God's chosen people. <1.5 of Iranians are presentlyGod's chosen people. So, in the main, these nations are wanting but not having , so are going to war to spend their resources on their own lusts, not using their resources to make Jesus and God known.
