Transfiguration

How many understand the transfiguration that happen is a view of the Resurrection/Rapture

Can you expand on that?

It was a view of Christ as the future King of kings, as the law and prophets testitied.

I never heard that before..?

I understood that Moses and Elijah represented the Law and the Prophets, respectively. They were kinda' passing on the authority of each to Christ Jesus.

They do represent the Law and the Prophets.

To be transfigured means to be transformed into something more beautiful or elevated. And arent we to meet the Lord in the clouds?

17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air

The transfiguration was a picture of Jesus in His glory. Very similar to Revelation 1.

To be honest I admit I don't understand. It can be read on the first layer and seems relitavely simple to grasp but since when has God done things on the surface?

The resurrection and I cvould be wrong doesn't involve the rapture, the very idea of the dead coming back to life not as they were but as a perfect vision of what we were made to be that cannot be taken lightly or seen based on our own pe4rception life itself if anyone has ever experienced it you are whole you are perfect any flaws any sin anything you lack is no more what is the purpose opf the resurrectionb to begin with? if he used it simply to take perople in the rapture or simplt to raise those in the past how would that continue the kingdom how would it show who he is? even witches have brought the dead to life so how deep is the subject of life and death? how deeply imortant is it for God to resurrect? consider the reason and imprtance bhind every act he does it is never a single layer

You are absolutely correct. Moses and Elijah are dead.

Mat 17:9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

This is an interesting topic to me too because it is linked to another topic where i commented a while ago, relating to Prayers for the Dead.
This is one example Biblically that the dead live in some form or another.

The "dead" are not dead in that there is no afterlife. All the OT saints are in Heaven AND VERY MUCH ALIVE. So are the saints after the resurrection of Christ who have passed on and are now in Heaven. Moses and Elijah are very much alive and will be sent down to earth during the reign of the Antichrist. Had they not been alive they would not have been communicating with Christ regarding His "exodus" (which could include many things).

The Bible contradicts this statemen: 2 Kings 2:11 And it came to pass, as they went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Jude 9 Yet Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil about the body of Moses, durst not bring against him a railing accusation, but said, The Lord rebuke thee.

9. And as they descended from the mountain, Yeshua ordered them and he said to them, "Do not tell this vision in the presence of any man until The Son of Man will rise from the dead."

Jesus, the WORD [made flesh], emptied Himself
the Transfiguration, shows us, who Jesus was before emptying Himself

9 As they were coming down the mountain, Jesus instructed them, “Don’t tell anyone what you have seen, until the Son of Man has been raised from the dead.”

Seems the translators are split on verse 9 between vision and seen

If it were merely a vision though, why would Peter want to build literal tabernacles for them?
