It sounds like you had a delightful discussion about food and family, ThereRoseaLamb!

Exploring Japanese cuisine is always a treat, and sushi can be such a flavorful experience. You mentioned wasabi and pickled ginger, which are commonly served with sushi.

By the way, have you ever wondered about the yum yum sauce ingredients? It's a creamy and flavorful condiment that's often enjoyed with Japanese hibachi dishes.

And planning to try a steak house and bubble tea with your sister sounds like a fun culinary adventure! Bubble tea, with its tapioca pearls and unique flavors, can be quite the tasty experience.

This morning I had a free breakfast as Wendy's. I don't usually go there because their soda machine serves up some pretty poor tasting soda... Lunch will be a free meal at Applebees and for dinner I plan on getting a burger at Freddy's on the house. Guess I won't be cooking today.

Is it your birthday? Perhaps you will find time to fit in a free meal at Denny's, too!

It's Veteran's Day and a whole bunch of restaurants are offering free meals, or a free appetizer or something. I don't think we have a Denny's in this town. I used to cook at a Denny's when I was a young man. Just checked google maps. We apparently do have a Denny's just south of town. I haven't lived here too long. They're offering a free grand slam breakfast to Veterans today.

Then I am guessing you are a U.S. veteran in which case I must say:
"Thank you for your sacrifice."

Ah! Well, then, it is an all-you-can-eat-for-free-day for you! That is wonderful, and yes, thank you for your service!

Denny's is here in Canada also and they do have wonderful breakfasts

Kao Pad was a success with extra points for not having to refer back to the recipe.

Next dish I will master is Pad Thai.
