You've bought into a bunch of man made-up nonsense with so-called works based salvation. Baptism is a command that must be obeyed; does it require something physical? Yes. Everything we do here is physical. So what? Preaching the word is physical. Baptism is not a work of the flesh nor of the law. Believe the simplicity of the words or don't: its your call.
Well YOU say salvation is dependent on Baptism, and I say I was saved before I was baptized. I was dead spirit resurrected and reconciled to His Spirit transformed forever, saved. So I'm not the one here spouting false teaching. You are DEAD wrong when you say being baptized is necessary to be saved. Sorry.

I DON'T SAY salvation is dependent on baptism, God's Word clearly does. You can claim and believe you were saved prior to baptism, but you really weren't as it's 100% unscriptural..believe what you like

You believe and have faith with your body; your brain, your heart, it's all done by and through your physical body although faith itself isn't tangible or physical but the means by which it's created within you is.
No it's not. Faith doesn't come from physical hearing, but spiritual hearing. Read Acts 2:37. It's all inward...the mind, heart, and will.

Bible doesn't say that. Guess you have a pair of spiritual ears stuck on your non head, eh?

If it only required physical hearing, everyone would have responded. Spiritual hearing engenders understanding...hearing and understanding, seeing and perceiving. It's one of the reasons Jesus spoke in parables..Matthew 13:10-16.

Physical hearing is how you hear the word. By preaching. You then either accept or reject it. Accepting it is believing and that goes hand in hand with faith which then prompts or compells you to be obedient to the gospel which causes you to repent of your sins and being baptized into Christ for their remission, becoming saved. It ain't rocket science.

So, are you saying that the unregenerate person can be obedient to God in things other than simply repenting and turning to God?

Did you bother to read the passage? Hearing by the ear is not hearing as Jesus describes. It is hearing that is accompanied by understanding, and seeing that is accompanied by perception. When these conditions are present, conversion takes place.

By unregenerate you mean saved? You can't be saved until you hear the gospel and have your sins forgiven. So number one is hearing. You must somehow become aware of Christ and the good news. If you then believe it, you'll do what is required in order to be saved, namely, confession of belief, understanding you are in sin, and repentance knowing that you now believe in Christ and therefore have faith that he can save you from your sins, and finally being baptized into Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, thus being saved, becoming a Christian and child of God at that point. A great example of the conversion process is found in Acts 8 with the conversion of the Ethiopian eunuch. He was preached Christ by Philip and then asked Philip about baptism. So obviously Philip's preaching to him must have included the need to be baptized. He confessed his belief in Christ and was immediately baptized. So, hearing, believing, repenting as the Jews did on the day of Pentecost, confession of belief, and immersion in water, baptism, for the remission of sins. That's it in a nutshell.
Between Acts 8 and Acts 2:38-47, you have the essence of the entire conversion (salvation) process.

Okay... it's just that earlier you said,

Accepting it is believing and that goes hand in hand with faith which then prompts or compells you to be obedient to the gospel which causes you to repent of your sins and being baptized into Christ for their remission, becoming saved.
... placing obedience before salvation, repentance and remission.

This rocket science stuff is pretty hard.

Maybe you should enroll in rocket science school, eh? Then, you can get an advanced degree in false doctrine!

If you do go back to school @Ted01, do it soon if you want your loans forgiven.
There's another thread where people are arguing that it's okay for Christians not to repay bank loans, lol... are you saying that you don't agree with that?

I believe if you sign a contract, you should do all you can to fulfill the contract. I believe if you are unable to, you follow the law on how to dispose of the debt. Business models reflect what the law allows for. For example, banks know a certain number of loans will end in default. The interest rates they charge reflect this. We all pay higher rates than we otherwise would because of this.
What I don't agree with is someone disregarding the law, and illegally shifting the burden of paying the loan from the one who signed the loan to others who didn't.

I was just joking... as usual.
I'm not going to rocket science school... the earth is flat anyway.

I knew you were jesting about schooling, and I thought I gave a funny emoji. But as you asked a serious question, and I know your life isn't complete until you know my opinion on a topic, I answered.

When Does A Christian Become Immortality/Born Again?

When they place the FAITH that God gives them in the SIN OFFERING of Jesus on the Cross, and are indwelled by the Holy Spirit, who will begin to change them into the image of Jesus (Rom 8:28,29-Eph 2:8,9).

Salvation is just with repentant faith, that we come to restoration to God, through Jesus Christ who came among people, showed the way, and was atonement for us with his brutal death, burial, and resurrection afterward.
