My goal is to discuss the Scriptures primarily. Christian history here in America is a secondary issue. But I believe there is an agenda of re-writing history here in America. Facts are changed and or taken out of context to make our founding fathers look guilty. I am also not saying all of them were Christian, either. Thomas Jefferson was not a Christian.

A List of Doctrinal Changes in Modern Translations:
#1. Direct References of the Trinity are Removed.
1 John 5:7 is the one and only verse that clearly describes the Trinity and it is removed in Modern Bibles. Also, the word “Godhead” (Meaning Trinity) appears three times in the King James Bible and yet it is changed to say something else in Modern Translations. So all direct references of the Trinity are removed in Contemporary Translations. If I was on an island, and I had no clue about Christianity, the odds of my understanding the Trinity is better if I had a King James bible vs. a Modern Translation bible that removes this valuable truths on knowing the Trinity. So this proves that Modern Translations are less helpful for me to understand the Trinity by using the Bible alone.
#2. Doctrine of The True Way To Test a Spirit of Antichrist is Removed and Altered.
The command on the details of the true way to test a "spirit of Antichrist" is changed in Modern Bibles (See: 1 John 4:2-3). For example: First, the word “acknowledge” (NIV) is used instead of “confess.” (KJB). We must “confess” that Jesus Christ has come into the flesh, and not just “acknowledge” by nodding our head or saying, “Amen,” etcetera. In addition, 1 John 4:3 eliminates the full version that the “King James Bible” has. So clearly, this is a watering down of testing the spirits to see one of the ways a spirit is from God or not. Note: We also see the words “according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;” removed in Modern translations in Acts 2:30. So, Modern Bibles are failing the very test that Scripture gives us.
#3. The Doctrine of Fasting So As To Cast Out Persistent Demons is Removed.
Matthew 17:21 that tells us that casting out persistent or really strong devils is by prayer and fasting. Yet, Matthew 17:21 is oddly removed in Modern Translations. Mark 9:29 mentions that you can pray to remove these kinds of devils, but it does not mention fasting. So the key doctrine of fasting so as to cast out really strong demons is gone. So the enemy wins if a person only adheres to the Modern Translations and they have a "hate on” for the KJV. For if you ever encountered strong demonic activity like this before, you know that fasting does actually help greatly, and not just prayer alone.
#4. The Command To Study God's Word To Show Yourself Approved Unto God is Removed and Altered.
2 Timothy 2:15 says, "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." Modern Translations are confusing on this point and they say "work hard to present yourself approved unto God." The context is rightly dividing the Word of truth (Scripture). Why is this important? Well, we are living in the last days where men of God are questioning the Bible, or they are looking to something extra in addition to the Bible (like visions, dreams, revelations, prophecies, other holy books, etc.). God's people are destroyed for lack of knowledge (Hosea 4:6).
#5. The Full Version of the Doctrine on Having "No Condemnation" According to Romans 8:1 is Removed.
Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Modern Translations leave out the part that says, "who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." The KJV says, as a part of having no Condemnation: We have to (a) Be in Christ Jesus, AND: (b) Walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. The enemy wants Christians today to justify sin instead of battling against it. So the enemy will do everything he can to give a person a watered down version on His holy Word to promote the idea that they do not need to worry about sin destroying their soul.
#6. The Doctrine of Having Faith in His Blood in Romans 3:25 is Removed and Altered.
Modern Translations are not clear that we are to directly have faith in Christ's blood according to Romans 3:25. In the past, I have argued with other professing believers on another Christian forum who reject the blood atonement and or they reject that Christ's blood literally cleansed us from sin. If they had a real sword (KJV) instead of a butter knife (Modern Translation), they would have a better chance at discovering the truth on the Blood Atonement. For Romans 3:25 is not altered unlike certain Modern Translations.
#7. In Genesis 3:16, the ESV (Which is one of the most popular Modern Translations) doctrinally changes the nature of the truth in the KJV by saying that Eve's (the wife's) desire is contrary to her husband.

#8. Habakkuk 2:2, and 2 Corinthians 3:12 is altered by Modern Translations to eliminate that God uses plainness of speech.
This is important because Modern Translation believers prefer to look to the original languages to understand God's Word as their only go-to source. While I am not against original language word studies, I believe this should be done occasionally or when the text is difficult. But some in the Modern Translation movement will make it seem like you cannot truly understand God's Word just by reading the Bible in English. This is not the plainness of speech that God employs. While God can speak in metaphor or parables, He also speaks in plainness of speech, too. This has to apply to our life today in some way. Surely it is not a coincidence that these two key verses are eliminated in their favored Modern Translations (that influences their way of thinking).
#9. Philippians 2:7 Changes Doctrine by Removing an Aspect of the Deity of Christ During His Earthly Ministry.
Philippians 2:6-7 says correctly,
6 “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:” (Philippians 2:6-7).
King James correctly says that Christ made himself of no reputation.
Different Modern Translations say that He “emptied himself” (ESV), and the NLT says that “he gave up his divine privileges;” (Philippians 2:7). This is false, and it is a denial of the deity of Christ. God cannot cease to become God. God cannot cut out an aspect of who He is at His core in having divine power and yet still be God. That would be a contradiction. The Modern Translations teach a gnostic heresy in denying that Jesus has power as God. Granted, Jesus had grown in wisdom (See: Luke 2:52), but I believe this was not an elimination of His divine powers as God, but it was a suppression of them (See: John 17:5, Habakkuk 2:14). For Jesus needed to be a like figure or type of Adam; For Adam also was limited in knowledge when He was in a right relationship with God before the Fall (See: 1 Corinthians 15:45-47). However, Jesus clearly had power as God as a man before the cross. For the Bible clearly teaches...
Jesus had power as God:
(during his earthly ministry):
(1). Jesus said He has power to raise the dead to life just as the Father had power to raise the dead (John 5:21).
(2). Hebrews 1:3 talks about how Christ held all things together by the word of His power when He purged us of our sins.
(3). Jesus said, He would raise up this Temple (His body) three days later (John 2:19).
(4). Jesus had the power to forgive sins and give eternal life (Mark 2:7) (Luke 7:44-50) (John 14:6).
(5). Jesus had power to take away the sins of the entire world (John 1:29).
(6). Jesus Christ said wherever two or three are gathered in my name, there I am among them (Matthew 18:20). This was said to the people he was around and not to just us today.
(7). Jesus can make His home or abode inside of us if we keep His commandments (John 14:15). This is a part of His divine power and or abilities as God. Humans born to two parents cannot make their homes inside other people.
(8). “This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him.” (John 2:11). This was a direct statement. Meaning, Christ’s miracle at the wedding of Cana manifested His glory. This was his first miracle done by Jesus, and it was a part of His showing forth His deity as God. The apostle John did not say that the Lord Jesus manifested the Holy Spirit’s glory, but His own glory.
(9). ”And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.” (John 14:13-14). This was said by Jesus before the cross, and answering prayers is definitely a divine act of God. Please pay close attention to what Jesus said. He said, “I will do it“ in reference to answering prayer. So if a person prays for a healing in His name, he will do it. He will be the One who will heal them and do it.
(10). John 5:17 (NKJV) “But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.” If you were to read a little before verse 17, we learn that this is in context to the Jews being upset because of Christ healing a man on the Sabbath. So Jesus is taking ownership of this healing because He said He has been working (Just as the Father). John 5:19 says, “Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.”

“looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith, who for the sake of the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding its shame, and has taken his seat at the right hand of the throne of God.”
The King James Bible correctly renders Hebrews 12:2.

#11. The False Belief that Jesus is a created demi-god is taught in Modern Bibles.
Modern Bibles wrongfully teach the demi-god Jesus viewpoint in that they wrongfully imply the Eternal second PERSON of the Trinity (the Living Word) had a beginning point in time in being a created being. In John 1:18, in the King James Bible, it correctly says: “the only begotten Son,” but this is changed in corrupted Modern bibles to say: "The only begotten God" (LSV) (BLB) (AMP) (NAS1977) (NAS1995). In Micah 5:2, in the King James Bible, it correctly says that the Living Word (or the Messiah) is: “from everlasting,” but this is changed in the corrupted Modern bibles to: “from ancient times” or “from ancient days” or “distant past.” (Suggesting that the second person of the Trinity did not exist from eternity’s past but had a beginning).
#12. The Truth That God Will Not Reward Us Openly By Our Doing Works in Secret For Him is Erased.
In Matthew 6:1, Matthew 6:6, and Matthew 6:18, Modern Bibles remove the point about how God will reward us openly (publicly or among others) if we give alms in secret, pray in secret, and we fast in secret. This is sad because it shows that God can reward us openly today in our lives and not just in the afterlife. It shows God is actively involved in our lives, and He cares for us in our day-to-day lives.
#13. Important Key Words in the Lord’s Prayer are Removed.
In Matthew 6:13 (in the Lord’s Prayer): Modern bibles remove the words, “..For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.” This is the model prayer Jesus gave to us, and it is subtly attacked in one part here in Modern Bibles. We are to say to God the Father in our own words, "Your's is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever, Amen.” I believe one way to understand what is being said here is in the fact that this is an expression of a position of humbleness before God in our worship of Him and what is owed to Him. God deserves all the glory and power because He is God, and we are just mere human beings (i.e., the creation).
#14. The Great Commission in Mark is Questioned.
Modern Bibles footnote Mark 16:9-20 and say these verses were not in the earliest manuscripts. This affects doctrine. Mark 16:15 says, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” So the great commission is not only teaching all nations (as Matthew 28 says), but it is also preaching the gospel to every creature (person). This shows the importance and focus of the gospel as a part of our Lord’s great commission (But such a beautiful thing is cast into doubt with Modern bibles).
#15. God magnifies His Word above His own name Is Removed in Modern Bibles.
Psalms 138:2 says, “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Yet, the underlined part of this verse is neutered like a cat in Modern Versions. You don’t really know the full depth of how God regards His Word if you have a Modern Bible.
#16. In many Modern Bibles, You are Not Taught About Knowing the Certainty of the Words of Truth.
Proverbs 22:21 says, “That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?” Yet, knowing the certainty of the words of truth is removed in Modern Bibles. This is strange because those who hold to Modern Bibles generally believe there are errors in all Bibles, and there is no real certainty of the words of truth.

God deserves all the glory and power because He is God, and we are just mere human beings (i.e., the creation).
#14. The Great Commission in Mark is Questioned.
Modern Bibles footnote Mark 16:9-20 and say these verses were not in the earliest manuscripts. This affects doctrine. Mark 16:15 says, “Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” So the great commission is not only teaching all nations (as Matthew 28 says), but it is also preaching the gospel to every creature (person). This shows the importance and focus of the gospel as a part of our Lord’s great commission (But such a beautiful thing is cast into doubt with Modern bibles).
#15. God magnifies His Word above His own name Is Removed in Modern Bibles.
Psalms 138:2 says, “I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Yet, the underlined part of this verse is neutered like a cat in Modern Versions. You don’t really know the full depth of how God regards His Word if you have a Modern Bible.
#16. In many Modern Bibles, You are Not Taught About Knowing the Certainty of the Words of Truth.
Proverbs 22:21 says, “That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee?” Yet, knowing the certainty of the words of truth is removed in Modern Bibles. This is strange because those who hold to Modern Bibles generally believe there are errors in all Bibles, and there is no real certainty of the words of truth.

#17. Leaving Room for Abortion.
Certain Modern Translations Leave Room for a Person to Commit Abortion. For example, Luke 1:15 in certain Modern Translations such as the CEV, GNT, ICB, PHILLIPS, MSG, NCV, NLV, and WE all basically say from the time of John the Baptist's birth, he will be filled with the Holy Ghost. This is unlike the KJB that correctly says he will be filled with the Holy Ghost from his mother’s womb. Being filled with the Spirit in the mother’s womb suggests John the Baptist is a living human being inside the mother. Today, some Christians believe in abortion because they don’t think the baby is alive inside the womb (Which is basically the murder of innocent babies). No doubt, Modern bibles like these could potentially lead a person to justify the murder of the innocent.
#18. Fornication is either removed entirely or watered down.
Fornication means sex before marriage. This word “fornication” is removed entirely in popular Modern Translations (such as the NIV, ESV, and NET). The NAS95 mentions fornication four times, while the KJB mentions it 32 times. The point here is that this is an attack on the sin of sex before marriage (See 1 Corinthians 7:2). NAS95 changes it to immoralities. Other versions say “sexual immorality” instead of “fornication” which muddies the waters of meaning here. Sexual Immorality could include other immoral sex acts (bestiality, incest) that do not specifically refer to fornication. Newer Christians today think sex before marriage is okay.
#19. The Command on not to have fellowship with prosperity preachers is removed.
The command to remove yourself from those who think that “gain is godliness” is missing in 1 Timothy 6. We should not hang out or fellowship with prosperity teachers or money-grabbing believers. Their influence can rub off on you to think the same way. Their bad influence can lead you to chase after riches instead of righteousness. The love of money is the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). 1 Timothy 6:5 says we are to withdraw ourselves from those who think “gain” is “godliness.”
#20. The part of Revelation 22:14 that says, "they that do his commandments" is altered.
Revelation 22:14 (KJB) says,
"Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city."
Revelation 22:14 (ESV)
"Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates."
Some believe Modern translations are more accurate here because it points to Revelation 7:14 regarding washing one’s robes in the blood. But the KJB truth of Revelation 22:14 lines up with Revelation 14:12 that also talks about God’s commands. However, contextually, those outside the gates were those who were in living in grievous sin (See Revelation 22:15). Sin is merely disobedience to God’s commands or laws (See: 1 John 3:4).
#21. The command “Do violence To No Man” in Luke 3:14 is changed in most Modern Bibles.
While other related verses teach a similar truth, this is a significant verse in Scripture that, if removed, would water down this teaching greatly.Today, even Christians have resorted to the unnecessary use of violence instead of loving their enemies, as Jesus told us.

#22. Modern Bibles Corrupt John 3:16.
Modern Bibles corrupt John 3:16 (the most beloved verse by Christians). In John 3:16: The NIV reads, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life" However, Jesus was NOT "the one and only son" because Adam is also called the "son of God" in Luke 3:38, there are "sons of God" in Job 1:6, and Christians are called "sons of God" (See: Philippians 2:15) (I John 3:2). The King James Bible correctly says that Jesus was the “his only begotten Son” By removing the critical word "begotten" - The NIV perverts John 3:16 into a lie! The NIV does the same in John 1:14, John 1:18, and John 3:18.
#23. Modern Bibles distort major Messianic prophecies.
In one example: Genesis 22:8 correctly says in the KJB: "My son, God will provide himself a lamb”; However, the Modern counterfeit Bibles say, "God will provide for Himself the lamb," or they will falsely say, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering." The fulfillment of Genesis 22:8 is found in John 1:29; In other words, Modern Bibles distort this prophecy that God would become the Lamb. Also, Galatians 3:16 says: “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Now, if we were to look back at one of the Old Testament references for Galatians 3:16, we can see that the King James Bible correctly refers to Abraham’s seed (singular - which is a reference to Christ), and yet the Modern bibles change this reference in Genesis 12:7 with using the word “descendants” instead of the word “seed” (Which destroys the whole point Paul was making in Galatians 3:16).
#24. The gospel is subtly attacked in Modern Bibles.
In 1 Corinthians 1:21: Many counterfeits change ". . .the foolishness of preaching. . ." to the "foolishness of what was preached" or "foolishness of the message preached." The deceitful counterfeits change the object of "foolishness" from the act of "preaching" to the "message" of preaching – the gospel of the Lord Jesus. There’s nothing "foolish" about the "message" of Jesus Christ – it’s the greatest and most reasonable message in the history of the universe! 1 Corinthians 1:18 shines some eye-opening light on the counterfeiters. 1 Corinthians 1:18 says, ". . . the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God.”
#25. In 1 Thessalonians 5:22 - The counterfeit Bibles change "all appearance of evil" to "every form (or kind) of evil."
This verse in the KJB refutes the idea that Christians can celebrate Halloween and or make themselves look like a bad guy (i.e., an evil person) that would scare or alarm the average person on the street. In other words, we should not appear to dress up as if we look evil or endorse those who do.

Amplified is very close, it's good to get a Bible that has at least 2 versions or even 4 is better...then you can read the verse in several translations....But let's face it...if you don't have God helping you to understand ANY version, you probably won't get what's being said or understand it. God's word and His Holy Spirit is so powerful and amazing it can communicate the message to your heart and spirit..no matter what the translations. I challenge you to read through the entire KJV Old and New testaments a couple times, praying for God to open up your understanding to the Word of God....Then I think you can make comments and move on. You have to put the footwork in.

Again, most I have encountered in the Textual Critic camp prefer to look to the Hebrew and Greek to get the real meaning.
However, Biblical Hebrew and Greek are far more difficult and almost nearly impossible to know seeing they are languages that are far removed from our time. 1600s English can still be understood by a good percentage in many cases if you read it to a group of people. But read Biblical Hebrew and Greek to them, and they will have no clue. Also, there is no one standard Modern English Bible that is the set standard or the perfect Word of God. You have a sea of conflicting Modern English bibles to try and swim through and see which one is correct even when they contradict each other in many places. So one just chooses a Bible that is too their tastes and preferences. It’s a Bible babble buffet. Even the critical NT Greek text (Nestle and Aland) keeps shape shifting and changing every few years. There is no settled Bible on the Textual Critical camp.
Now, I can use the Modern English Bibles to my benefit. But this is because I am only using them to help flesh out what the King James Bible already says. The KJB is my final Word of authority because I believe it is perfect and error free. I am not looking to change what the KJB says but to figure out what it says in certain places. Sometimes I can even use older dictionaries instead of having to go to a Modern Bible. But I am not entirely against using a Modern Bible by any means. I am against their use if a person does not have a final Word of authority (Like one who does not believe in a perfect Bible). This is why I am Core KJB, and not KJV Only.
