I went with my church as a young lad in Chicago, to listen to him. I think it was about 1960.

Quintessential Billy. I heard him speak when I was in college. Same simple message...John 3:16.
My dad would say whenever you saw billy spoke you could see the wolfs from the lambs, every single one of them.

You could see those who deny or those who would accept, every person in the crowd.

Like he was bringing thousands of bad spirits to service in people, he said you could notice it in thousands off people at once.

He said the way he spoke about Jesus was with the authority the cross demands.

And quite often they would leave blessed and a new creature.

My dad went to see him several times.

After watching his videos you can see why my dads words are most definitely true 😂

Lol he had his ways that's for sure but you always feel the spirit in him when he speaks.

Courage sense strength many believe he helped save millions of people. 😊

BIlly Graham: a preacher of a false, unscriptural, message of salvation now propagated by his son: just say a prayer to be saved.

What is your view of salvation? Is it a moment in time when one finally places their trust in the gospel, or something different?

Billy was an evangelist, not a pastor.

I notice some people here think Billy could no wrong. Do a REAL search, not just a one-sided search, & you'll find a man who believed false doctrine & was a true Freemason.

God has used a multitude of personalities, less than perfect, to share the Gospel.

From what I read about God apart from Jesus Christ himself he always seems to use people who have done things wrong. I am reading about king David at the moment (for the first time). Even though God loved him he is not perfect. It seems everyone God used/uses is far from perfect and that gives me real hope that if he used them he could use me too.
Everyone makes mistakes and get things wrong but we have a God who loves us, forgives us and helps us when we come to him 🥰

What is your point? Do you even know what the words mean? And a false message is still a false message whether spoken by Billy Graham, Franklin Graham, you, me or anyone.

I am not trying to destroy a man's reputation or show severe judgment against him, but there are considerable differences between "mistakes", & absolute false doctrine.
Here is only one example of Billy Graham's false doctrine:

It brings me no pleasure to post this, but we must know the truth.:(

To supplement my response to you, the process of being saved according to scripture is

1. Belief and faith
2. Confession of belief as did the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8
3. Repentance as dis the Jews on the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:38
4. Baptism also per Acts 2:38

The Lord then adds you to his body which is the church per Acts 2:47, at which point you become a child of God, a Christian, and a member of the church.

No record of anyone being saved by reciting a prayer and asking for forgiveness.

@Sunshine don't let it bother you, they obviously don't know Billy like you and me.

As you know people say the wrong choice of words when they speak.

Just remember his last speech it's always worth another watch

Billy was a well loved man all over the UK to. 😊

Well thanks for posting this video do you have the original footage of Billy Graham's saying these things? As the video you posted has been edited together. In England we call them the p*** take clips. There were loads on TikTok during lockdown of the British MP basically people mocking him. Some of them were a little funny 😱🤣🤣🤣

Good luck finding a perfect pastor.
1st of all, a pastor is an elder / bishop not the minister, preacher, or evangelist. Secondly, it's about truth. If a preacher, minister, or whatever you choose to call him teaches untruth regarding the subject of salvation, the net result will be lost souls not saved ones. If the message is false such as Graham's was and still is, they are not saving souls nor bringing anyone to Christ, but on the contrary, they're doing the devil's work. If you can't tell someone how to save their soul by your message, you're not just useless, you've been decieved and are deceiving others causing them to follow you to hell through your false doctrine.
