prudent (I think that it's the sort of trend which will become more popular in the Winter. In the Summer, one's head can be warm enough without all the layers - in both senses of the word).

discreet (How about a watermelon in the summertime? I once seen a guy walk into Walmart wearing half a watermelon on his head. He didn't have a shirt on, the liquid from the melon was getting all over him. I think someone must have dared him.)
