Up Up and away

No,the two witnesses are only men who can be killed and their dead corpses litter the street.

I have scripture for that without jumping all over the bible.Its all.in the context.

Revelation 11

7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

9 And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.

10 And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.




Don't worship them and make them more than they are.

The 2 witnesses are Moses and Elijah. Well, not actually them, but what they represent...the law and the prophets.

The Jews thought that the law and the prophets supported what they had done Jesus. Now, they testifies against them. It's symbolic language. In John 5:39-41, Jesus tells them that they search the scripture seeking eternal life, but the scriptures testify of Him. Since they will not come to Him, the law and the prophets are, in a sense dead to them. The only purpose the law and the prophets can fulfill at this point is to condemn them.

These two witnesses find themselves on the wrong side of the law because they break their Lords commandments.


Mathew 22

36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law?

37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

38 This is the first and great commandment.

39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.





The two witnesses are the worst neighbors imaginable.Its no wonder they are removed from the earth when Christ kingdom is come.

Not really. They are all phenomena independent of each other. And there is no need for any nuclear explosion. Divine judgments are just that -- sent from God. The first five seal events began in the first century and have continued. Some with greater intensity than others.

But fearful sights in the heavens belong to the 6th seal. Those events are yet future and will occur JUST BEFORE THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST. According to the word of God these events take place when nation rises against nation and kingdom against kingdom.Not before.
It's best to stay in context of scripture and not pull one verse out of context

11 And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.

8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.


The earthquakes,famines,pestilences,and troubles are not separated from nation rising against nation .The war is the root cause of the fearful sights and great signs in the heavens.On all accounts they are tied together by the word of God.

This is not an assumption.This is a detailed set of events being taught by Jesus in the Olivet discourse.

There is no greater teacher.

that is written in the Old Testament it is not an Old Testament prophecy it’s a witness pertaining to the return of Christ after the New Testament is full . We know it’s a New Testament prophecy because it’s found in the new testement as a prophecy

“But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?”

There is no prophecy in the nt about the rebuilding of Jerusalem or it’s temple because that’s not part of the New Testament
I’m not saying that in the Old Testament nothing Is said about the world I’m saying there are two testaments one of them is applicable to Israel , the other began at Jerusalem and applies to the world

what im saying is the old covenant had a culmination it was when the messiah arrived with the new

The old testamen lt prophecies yeah I believe we fulfilled and culminated with the destruction of Jerusalem and its temple bout 2000 years ago and the following Jewish dispersia as the law has always said

So what? There are scores of prophecies in the Old Testament which must be harmonized with the Second Coming of Christ and the events which will follow. And Jerusalem and the future temple in Jerusalem will figure prominently in God's plan for the Kingdom of God on earth.

So Christians cannot say "Oh, that's not in the NT, therefore it is irrelevant". That's how the bogus Replacement Theology came into existence.
