We have a Water main break near the corner on our street... When the guy came out to vacuum out the water so they could work, my husband goes out and tells him.
"You could suck the dust off the moon with that vacuum!"

several years ago, when getting estimates about having my driveway repaid, one guy who came out told me " however you decide to do this, just don't make a bigger mess on top of the mess you already have".

that was a good line!

Ever heard the difference between an Baptist and a Pentecostal?

If a light bulb goes out in the church the Baptist's will have meetings and committees for years and the Pentecostals just pray "God heal that lightbulb!"

My uncle, whom I loved dearly, taught me this short but powerful line:
"Everybody gets a turn."
Those words have guided me all my life. It's the Golden Rule inside out.

I heard the difference between a Methodist and a Pentecostal is, if you ask a Methodist pastor for prayer he'll say "Here's $50." If you ask a Pentecostal pastor for $50 he'll say, "Let's pray."
